  1. She's a hostess at Trails End and works weekdays, usually breakfast and lunch.
  2. especially Trails End. Just heard Ms Josephine is retiring next year after 40 years. She will be missed. She started her career the same yr we made our first trip, 1979.
  3. There are/were family suites available at AOA for Christmas week, although not cheap, but available.
  4. Yep, those rates went bye bye. There are a few token discounts, but not the Winter Settler rates that had been available. Most days were pushing $100.00+ a day on average.
  5. If it's like most hotels/motels they only use certain rooms for pets, because of allergies.
  6. ⬆️ What they said....see decorated cabins all the time.
  7. No, because the site's never been ready until after we arrived. Even though I knew what site, the CM at the gate wouldn't even confirm it. Best we ever got is "it will be one of the two you mentioned".
  8. I only had that happen once and that was before they started texting site numbers, with that said, we always requested specific sites.
  9. If the room is ready. Remember most people make specific loop requests for the FORT and sites are assigned by rig size too. You can't really make a fair side by side comparison in my opinion.
  10. But sites aren't "technically" ready until 1pm. So if it wasn't cleaned at 11 they would have gone to the overflow. They do the same at the hotels, you don't get your room number until it has been checked off the housekeeping list.
  11. I was just looking at Choice Hotels in the WDW area and guess what COMFORT SUITES MAINGATE has on their website. "We are happy to receive and store packages for our guests up to 20 days before arrival. Please know beginning 3/15/17 there will be a $5.00 USD fee per package. " so it's not just DISNEY.
  12. And if you mention FORT FIENDS "poof" you're gone from over there.
  13. A little "Greecian Formula" under the hood would have helped.
  14. Nope, you need to bring your own. Too many would probably "find legs".
  15. Flyers on the bulletin boards requesting you to register your site at the Bike Barn if you were participating. And you know how many actually do that..
  16. Last year they didn't "officially" announce it until a couple days before.
  17. And when you call the CC companies they say it's the petroleum company and/or station owner.
  18. Having spent many years in Public Works that is probably a very accurate reason.
  19. You may hear early that morning. Everything depends on if your site was occupied the night before. They will text you the number once it has been cleaned, but not before even if you are at the Outpost. If it's not ready you will be sent to the overflow to wait for the text.
  20. Things like this are just going to get worse. No matter where we are I see misspellings and grammatical mistakes on the news crawlers running on many local news stations. The "Dumbing Down of America" at it's best.
  21. You can get a parking pass at the Outpost for your trailer and park it in the overflow. They usualy give you a ziplock bag for the pass. I would take a couple zip ties to attach it. I recommend a lock for the trailer too.
  22. That was a regular stop for us. New owners did a lot to fix it up. Several times we stayed for 2 or 3 days.
