Not really, the accidents had nothing to do with DCL it was just the company that provided the sea-planes and they do all kinds of tours. Actually the last one was someone going from point A to point B (non-cruise)

Usually the wash includes the roof too. -

They have an ala carte type menu. Simple wash is around $3.00 a ft and a complete wash, wax and buff can be $12-$15 a ft or higher and then getting the rims polished is an additional cost. -
Didn't hear anything about not picking up rocks and no we did not do the Dog Sled. Gail had it planned when we went with them in 2015, but it got cancelled.

We always book through DCL. We're just more comfortable knowing that if you're late or something gets messed up you're covered.

Next stop was SKAGWAY. It’s really a big little town, approximately 5 blocks wide and 7 blocks long, but very busy when the cruise ships arrive. Here you can board the train and take a very scenic ride up the mountain and cross back over to Canada. We did that on our 2 previous cruises and you can see those pics in my 2012 report. In the morning when we arrived Rick and Andy went salmon fishing, but since it was early in the season it was catch and release for the king salmon. After lunch we took and very exciting and scenic helicopter tour up to one of the

You can't back it up like a trailer so plan ahead when parking or fueling. I towed a truck 4 down with no issues and for several years had the GC in the bed. As Mark said it depends on the truck. Most 4-wd can be towed 4 down with no issue since you put the transfer case in neutral. Did you have brakes on the trailer? I would definitely have a supplemental brake system for the truck, I never towed with out one, better safe than sorry.

Correct term and no we haven't experienced any on our cruises.

The detailers are back

They could have been met at the back gate and let in, that happened in the past, I personally would ask to just to see if the rules changed again out of curiosity. -

They've always been allowed in the overflow. -

DId you check with the Outpost to see if they approved it, or did the detailer sneak back to the lot at the request of the occupant? -
It was in the high 50's, but it was misty on and off too.. We also had a short light shower when we got close to the Glacier.

As usual it was wonderful, especially since the weather really cooperated You definitely need to. It's amazing how the climate varies. Ketchikan which is our last stop avgs 32 over the winter with little snow. The area is gorgeous, it's just unfortunate that it's getting so over-croweded.

We arrive at Dawes Glacier and the scenery is just as breath taking as in the past. DCL had usually attempted to go up Tracy Arm and the Sawyer Glacier. Many times the ice flows have prevented them from heading up the fjord, which is what happened to us in 2012. In 2015 when we went with Lou and Gail we did see the Sawyer Glacier. Well in recent history they have been diverted to the Dawes Glacier more often than not so that is now the normal itinerary. So here we are. We could not get as close as in the past, but you can still enjoy the grandeur of Mother Nature. I ne

Got it booked for the PC again next fall, great spot for that cruise too. Glad you are joining the "ELITE"..😀😀 I think at least 20% on most cruises are PLATINUM The best is yet to come, at least for us.

The next full day was a day at sea so we just lounged around ate and drank. What else do you do on a Cruise. Linda and I went to listen to the Naturalist’s presentation about Alaska and the Dawes Glacier. He was a retired Ranger who worked for the National Forest Service. I never realized that the vast majority of Alaska is the Tongass National Forest and the 2nd largest Rain Forest in the World. Also it is where Walt got his inspiration for Big Thunder Mountain after he saw Thunder Mountain in JUNEAU which has many landslides and thunder like noises. Getting ready to head to dinne

We arrived at the Port in Vancouver around 12:30 as scheduled and check in went fairly smooth except at U.S. customs. Since we are leaving from CA you go through CA customs then US customs before boarding. Linda, Rick (he was pushing Linda’s wheel chair) and I zipped right through, but they would only let the 3 of us go together. Michele and the kids went to another line and got to the border agent just as we finished up, but what an ass he was. Children under 16 only need their birth-certificates well this lazy SOB gave Michele a hard time since he had to manually type in the info. She gave

We just returned from another DCL trip to Alaska. Our first was in 2012 the 2nd year for that DCL itinerary. The 2nd was in 2015 with Lou and Gail. Well last year our son mentioned they were planning a trip so we “invited” ourselves along. We actually saved them a few bucks to boot since we did a place hold for 2 cabins on a previous cruise and we also had their eldest in our cabin so they only needed to book a 4 person. We again had our favorite accessible cabin 6154 with the large veranda. For those of you who missed the 2012 trip here is the link: https://www.fortfie

Resort Parking Fees Increased
Grumpy and Grandma replied to BradyBzLyn...Mo's topic in Resorts Board
So has Universal. If you read the non Disney written articles part of that is being done to control the crowds and it's not working. Prices go up and crowds get bigger so apparently it's not hurting too many families. This past fall Linda and I never found a "slow" day at the Parks, lines for many attractions were ridiculous. MK has been open 15 min and already a 60 min wait for SDMT.. AK already has a 90 min wait for AVATAR. HS 90 min for Slinky Dog. So somebody's buying tickets. -
