Dream & Fantasy rotate Castaway Cay

Which is because the Ship has to be built in the US to be Flagged in the US and we no longer have the capabilities so they are built overseas. That was addressed earlier in another thread. Also as I posted in the other thread, most Cabin Stewards make as much or more with tips than an E-3 (Seaman) in the US NAVY, many who do jobs with a lot more responsibility. -

But it is a separate subsidiary, just like ABC, PIXAR, DVC , MARVEL etc. apart from DISNEY PARKS. -
Contact Jason our Travel Agent in residence and turn your reservations over to him and let him work on it for you. Doesn't cost you any extra money, Mickey pays him.. [email protected]

The DREAM & FANTASY have both made a trip from Canaveral to Castaway Cay. Probably to let the crew get off the ship and relax on the beach. Maybe they're doing some work while there too.

Construction is still going on.. There are links posted where they are still building Reflections and when we were out you could see crews on various construction sites.

Cheerio did you know? DCL is an English Compay
Grumpy and Grandma replied to Grumpy and Grandma's topic in Cruises
As I said, in my opinion it's stupid to keep it in place. The tourist industry at the major ports up and down both coasts would boom if they would amend or revoke it, -

Just like the Navy.... 😂 An E-3 only makes $2,100 a month before taxes, many Room Stewards make that or more. A Seaman is a junior enlisted in the United States Navy at DoD paygrade E-3. A Seaman receives a monthly basic pay salary starting at $2,043 per month, with raises up to $2,303 per month once they have served for over 3 years. Cruise Ship Jobs-Housekeeping Department jobs. Room ... www.cruiselinejob.com › hotel Salary range: $2200-2800 U.S. per month depending on gratuities -

Probably one of many. Also their general Maritime laws are probably more lienent. The US still has the (stupid in my opinon) 1800's Jones Act in place. It was one reason why they were having trouble getting supplies from the States to Puerto Rico after hurricane since 99% of the cargo ships are foreign Flagged. Supposedly they can't go from a US port directly to another US port with a load of cargo. -
Learn something new everyday... and since the Bahamas is part of the Commonwealth is why they fly the Bahamian Flag. From Wikipedia: Disney Cruise Line is a cruise line operation that is a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. The company was incorporated in 1996 as Magical Cruise Company Limited[1] and is domiciled in London, England, with their operational headquarters located in Celebration, Florida.

Construction contimues. Grandma and I just got back from a ride, stayed in the car, and construction continues at the new College Program Dorms, the garage (or whaever it is ) at Fantasia Golf and several other sites that we could see. One day next week we will drive over by DHS and see if there is still activity at the new Resort. -

WDW Closings due to COVID19

Based on the numbers coming out of CHINA (which as usual the media is ignoring) recovery rates have spiked in the last few days. Last number I saw was over 68,000 and they only had 80,000+ infected. As I posted in the PARKS thread they are starting to reopen DIS SHANGHAI incrementally. There have also said the mortality rate is lower than once thought.. https://www.businessinsider.com/coronavirus-case-fatality-rate-wuhan-china-lower-than-estimates-study-2020-3 -
