  1. I've never had grapes and chocolate and caramel. I'm not sure I need to, either. And, hesitantly, I agree with Dave. Cherries, caramel and chocolate sound much better.
  2. I didn't not like Tony's when I ate there, I just didn't love it. I was exactly what I expected. I'm certain we had the zucchini fries and I'm certain that I loved them. I had the chicken parm and yes, it was pretty good. Definitely not a hamburger, so that makes it worth spending a little more in my opinion. So, overall, 3.5 out of 5. Respectable, but no Citricos or Artist Point.
  3. I have to weigh in on the sand debate. I live at the beach, I love the sand at the beach... I do not, however, want the sand in my car, camper or house. I looks fantastic, but would take a long time for me to get used to the sand - especially wet sand. I need to go take a shower now...
  4. Note to self: When Carol is around, she's going to take your photo. Be prepared at all times. Seriously, great trip report. Looks like a very relaxing weekend.
  5. OK, Karla.... we're waiting! I'm trying to live vicariously through you over here.
  6. One of my favorite shots from my November 2010 trip. [
  7. I agree with everyone. I'd be terrified to ride my bike outside the Fort. Have you seen the way people drive on vacation?
  8. Oh, and for the record, I agree with Lou. Stay away from 192 if you can help it. I have ventured down there to a gym quite a few times. It's just not magical in any way, shape or form. Not that it's a bad area... it's just not Disney. Traffic can also be horrendously slow with all the lights.
  9. I've done movies a few times as well. Once when a scifi movie premiered that I really wanted to see and I was alone and had nothing else to do that morning. The other time was when I was sick on my last trip (before I knew why I was sick). I wasn't up for being outside or laying around, so I hauled it over to a movie. I was on day 10 at that point, so I didn't need to do a park. Resting up in the a/c was just what the doctor ordered.
  10. I'm in for this one. While I love the Fort, I also have a soft spot for OKW. I can't wait to see pics and hear what you think about it these days. Before the camping bug, I almost bought an OKW resale I liked it so much. I love the bigger sizes of the room/villas and the tropical, laid back feel.
  11. I agree. I'm sure I'll be there when y'all are in November (and this time will definitely say hello and offer up something frosty from my bar). If you ever need an excuse to go eat somewhere, just let me know. I've noticed some variety coming back as well. Some good, some not as good. The waffle sandwich I highly approve of. The taco salad... not so much.
  12. 1) I love Phineas and Ferb, but I can't draw. I may attempt this if everyone will promise not to laugh at me. Of course, the session I choose will end up being Lulabella cow or whoever. 2) Stacy is Stacy. Perky and annoying. Does anyone remember the original Stacy? The one who looked like Paige Davis? The one whose, umm, bosom was a little too perky too?
  13. I did it back when it was $6. I liked it ok enough, but agree it wasn't that much different from the boat ride. Our guide was pretty good, though, so that helped. It was definitely worth $6. 18... eh. If you like gardening and that sort of thing, I think it would be worth it.
  14. This is all interesting to me. I was reading the menu and was about to post "We'll see how long this menu lasts. Tourists at WDW aren't going to eat that." Why do I think that? Because I WOULD eat it. If I like it, usually it's gone. Then all of you say "I can eat my weight in naan", etc. Either I'm wrong that they'll dumb down the menu or we all have the same tastes and better get there quick before they do. hahaha.
  15. Interesting. I used to frequent LeCellier before the DDP (yep, a long time ago). I haven't been back since, though, since I heard all the negative reviews. I may give it a shot now.
  16. I'm not a fruity drink drinker (my favorite mixer is, well, ice), but their margaritas were pretty darn good the last time I had one. Oh, and yeah... they packed a punch, too.
  17. Funny you ask that, I was thinking about it the other day. I've driven 192 many, many times and can't ever remember seeing a bowling alley. I Googled it and it looks like there's one on W 192 a good ways down.
  18. Question. My AP expires June 5, so I can't check rates until I renew it, but... I noticed it doesn't list Independence Day as blacked out. Doesn't that seem odd? I was also able to get a site at the Fort for that week (partial or premium), which also seemed odd. Maybe they read my angry old man letters about NYE having all the open sites...
  19. No problem. It took forever for me to figure all of this out. Glad I could help.
  20. I agree with everyone. It's mixed. My first time camping at the Fort I had convinced myself I NEEDED to be in the 1500 loop. Needless to say, no dice. I was in 2064 - right across from the comfort station. The next time, 2001. The next time 2030-something. You get the picture. There was no 1500 loop happening no matter how nice I requested. Of all of those trips, I met the nicest people in the 2000 loop. We had a big site and really enjoyed everything except trekking through the woods to the pool. Only once or twice was there an issue with noise. I think TCD was also there that weekend. They
  21. Ha! I fought it for the longest time, but I guess we see how that turned out. My friends all think I'm crazy, but the Fiends don't!
  22. I may or may not have bought some the other day at a beach shop my old roommate owns. I'm not sure if I'll get them painted before this trip, but I'm going to try. The rope light Mickey is on the agenda for this weekend. When did I turn into this person?
