  1. I'm working on it as we speak! It's really hard to make rain interesting.
  2. By process of elimination I'd guess the Merida meet and greet area in MK.
  3. I won't say yes or no. That'll come later. I'll say this, though. The bacteria, supposedly, just lives in the shallow areas where the water is warmer. The skiing and parasailing take place in the deeper areas of the lake where the water temperature stays lower. At least that's what I read in some article on the interwebs.
  4. I think I should give you all a teaser. A Not-A-TR Teaser. I did something on this trip that many Fiends probably haven't done. And certainly haven't in the last decade. I got to take a dip in.... Bay Lake. That's right. And I wasn't breaking any rule. So you'll have to keep reading along to find out more about that.
  5. I'm here! And guess what, sick. Something going around the office. I was sitting here writing up the next installment. I promise to finish this one and soon... I'm only 9 days, 8 hours and 43 minutes from the next trip!
  6. My site also had a slight flooding issue that night. And by slight flooding issue, I mean my mat was literally floating, then it lost the battle. I think it might have finally dried out.
  7. I saw the D-tech for Android phones at World of Disney last week. In many cases, I thought the designs were better than the iPhone cases.
  8. I had one of these last week. The blue something one. It was good. I think I added vodka to it. My mouth was also blue for the rest of the day.
  9. Ha! You read it correctly, I wasn't specific when I typed it. If only I were a rich man... or a WDW cast member who made a half way decent salary working about 1 day per month so I could live at the Fort.
  10. OK, let's continue the stay at the All Star Sports. I'm checked in, sick and lounging. What would you do. I slept a lot and watched tv. I did eat, though! I'll tell ya. Say what you will, but having that food court so close was awesome. And it was more than burgers and hot dogs and fries (I had my fill of those, too, but no photos). I wish the Fort had some options like this. I did make it out for Illuminations and a trip to DAK on Tuesday, but both were quick. Here are a few pics from the rainy safari and Epcot. On Wednesday, May 30 I woke up feeling MUCH better. I took some more drug
  11. Thanks for reading along everyone! And now, on with the show. Day 2 - Monday, May 28 Today was the day. It was the day that I moved over to Disney. I don't hate 192 at all. It is what it is, but there's nothing like a WDW resort. Even the smell when you walk in is nice. The next four days are all going to be right here in this update. There isn't a lot to report. More on that later. For some reason I woke up at 7am. Fiends, I sleep later than that on work days. I thought I may have had too much to drink the night before. After all, I really don't have drinks at home. I wrote it off. Played o
  12. My mom is also a couponer and saw coupons for them, too. She saved them for me because she heard they have mosquitos in Florida. Her words. So, looks like I'll have every sort of repellent on the planet for July 4th.
  13. The heat always seems more tolerable at Disney. Plus, the Fort always seems a few degrees cooler. EnjoY!
  14. So, I need to move this right along at a professional pace. Day 1 - Sunday, May 27 Since I'd gotten home at about 1am the night before I didn't get a lot finished before I crashed. I had planned to wake up early and be out of the house by 10 to beat the storm. As previously noted, nothing I planned worked out. So, I made it out of the house around 1pm in a complete and total panic. I will say, I only forgot one minor thing in all of the chaos. One. I consider that a giant success. The weather wasn't bad at all as I was leaving South Carolina, but it was really windy. Really really windy. You
  15. The Not Quite a Trip Report Trip Report - Lessons Learned First, a little background. A lot of friends from all over have been plotting and planning this WDW trip for almost a year. I am not a planner. I am not a lot of things that have to do with spreadsheets and lists. I am, however, someone that likes some serious pool/beach time, a good book and frosty adult beverages. I'm also someone who hoards vacation days and has to use a lot this year on top of comp time. So, I decided early on that I'd go down Memorial Day week alone and enjoy some "me" time before everyone got there. My last day o
  16. I've been to MVMCP quite a few times in the past and it wasn't crowded. Like everything, though, times have changed and crowds have increased. We're going on a Monday night this year to try and avoid the worst of the crowds. The Candlelight Processional is really one of my favorite holiday traditions - though slowly being replaced by the Osborne Lights. Like Carol, I usually wander up at the last minute and stand in the back or grab a seat near the fountain. You can still hear, just not see as well. If you've never done it, you really should. Hopefully I'll be there and able to do it this y
