  1. Been there, done that. It's probably the same team I work with. It all depends on who you get as to what your level of service will be. It's all pretty straight forward, to be honest, once they tell you what you need to know. If you aren't happy, complain. Sales takes their level of service VERY seriously. I didn't realize how much so until I semi-complained about the same thing the first time I booked group travel. I got a handwritten letter in the mail (Fedex overnight, actually) 2 days later from the VP apologizing. I got a new CM and everything went great after that. Hang in there and ju
  2. I'm very glad to see these additions! Counter Service at AK was dreadful. I usually just got one of those per-packaged salads because everything else was super heavy.
  3. I did a share in June. Well worth it since I've always wanted some of the ride photos. The rest, meh. I take better photos than most of the PP photographers.
  4. Great updates! San Diego, the zoo, mission and beach I've been to. Shockingly, never to DL. This is making me want to schedule a day on my drive down the CA coast next month, now.
  5. Congrats on the new to you cart. If anyone needs any spray glitter anytime soon, they may want to buy it now. I have a feeling there will be a nationwide shortage very, very soon.
  6. TCD - As always, GREAT report. Looks like you had a good (hot) time.
  7. Great report Carol. Glad you got away. That's always a great feeling.
  8. When I was there in July they were on duty until 10. At 10 they closed the slide and read everyone who was in the pool rules they had to obey. Then they left.
  9. OK, it's been bugging me for a long time that this report wasn't finished. I've finally had the time to work on it some more, so here we go! Day 7 - Sunday #2 As you can imagine, the 8am wakeup didn't happen. Not a chance. I think I finally rolled out of bed around 10, took some advil and headed outside. Justin's curtain was closed and the popup wasn't moving around like it did every time one of us blinked, so I assumed he was still passed out cold. I took the cart and got some coffee at the Meadows, came back, made noise to wake him up, got ready and we were off to Epcot. The plan was to dr
  10. Thanks for doing this TR Jason. It's good to see Silvia included, too. Now she just needs an account so she can tell us what she thought of everything.
  11. I've had it heated up, but I'm sure they'd serve it to you cold if you wanted it that way.
  12. I concur with Ed and Carol. I was in 523 earlier this summer and it, like most of the loop, had generous sized sites as well as a decent amount of privacy. I was also in 1321 for July 4th and that was a huge site with no one within 20 feet on either side, though not much shrub/landscaping privacy. I also like the premiums (spoiled now) to avoid that coquina. It gets on everything, especially when it rains. There are some sites that get more sun than others, but they're spread throughout the whole campground. It seems like 400 has quite a few of them, though. Good luck planning your first trip
  13. Did all of the kids make it back from drinking with the homeless guys in Macon?
  14. Great TR! I've done the tent thing a few times and it was great. The one time I invited a friend it was the same thing you experienced. A lot of "let's do this NOW" and the obligation to do EVERYTHING together. It gets tiring after a while and then you add in the exhaustion of parks and heat. Glad you had a great time and are enjoying the tent. I'm sure someone has already told you, but Carol recommended to a lot of us that we put a disposable paint dropcloth under our tarp under our tent. For me, that kept most of the coquina away from the tent so it wasn't so bad when you broke down. However
  15. Oh Fiends... that's so awesome. Now... Jason, don't show your wife or she'll be jealous of that awesome setup.
  16. I think I posted this before, but I've eaten there a few times now and it's at the top of my list as far as favorite signature restaurants. I like that many of the dishes are nice, but have big flavor. The servers are also great. The last time our waiter insisted that the chef come out and talk to us. It was a great experience. I'm actually taking my friends there in a few weeks for their 20th Anniversary. We're all pretty excited about it (well, except for my AMEX).
  17. Jason - I read a TR somewhere, sometime where a family from the Charleston area did this. They were worried about transportation but said the bus was super easy to navigate and worked out better than they could have imagined.
  18. I stopped in Macon with students this spring. I do not recommend leaving any of those rowdy kids there. However, if while you're there, you find a key to a 15 passenger Ford van somewhere, could you mail it to me, please? One of my students lost it when hanging out with the homeless people that were buying him beer from the gas station.
  19. Very cool. I heard something was happening back there, but this is even better than I had expected.
  20. I have to say that I also recommend Flying Fish. And I like their steak better than Yachtsman. They have a fun bar, incredible food and top notch wait staff. It's loud in there though.
