  1. If you need me to take a look around tuesday afternoon to see what's left, let me know. I don't mind at all. I get there Monday night.
  2. I know for certain they don't use WDW Transport. It's right there on Hotel Plaza, but I'm not sure it uses those DTD area hotel shuttles (which are a pain) or if they have their own from that hotel. Regardless, those are probably the best option, regardless of how much of a pain/slow they are. No free theme park parking or anything, either, staying at the Hotel Plaza resorts. Also, if the boys walk over to DTD, those busses don't go to the parks - resorts only - and even though it looks close, that walk takes a good while. I made the mistake of doing it once.
  3. This will be my first stay in a full hookup. My fear in the past has been that the sites look narrow, unless you use the unpaved portion of the pad. I hate coquina, so I've been afraid to try. From what I can tell, 1600 has narrow pads, 1700 has wide pads, but will be pretty well taken up this coming week by the northern pioneers.. so that leaves the 1800 loop. The sites look pretty wide, and are according the the app and videos. Any advice on sites in 1800? I'm looking for good and bad. I like the sites back near the canal, but I'm open to suggestions. I haven't seen much chatter about the
  4. I don't know if I ever posted it, but when we were at the Fort in June, one of those little terrors chewed through the propane line on the popup while we were at DTD. Luckily, it wasn't at night when we were both sleeping since one of the bunks is right over the tank. No idea what made them think they needed to do it or what they thought it tasted like, but I assume others have had similar problems.
  5. That has to be a great feeling. Say hello if you see me out abd about at the Fort.
  6. Note to self: Just take my laundry by Mo's next week...
  7. If you're still around next Monday, stop by and say hello. Sign will be out.
  8. I need to look back and tell you the date I accidentally stumbled on the Fort decorations being unloaded off a big truck last year. It was quite a sight to see, but it might be a little too late at night for you guys.
  9. Wait. I thought this was my trip report for a minute. Great job, Mo. Can't wait to see you guys in a few weeks.
  10. Nate and Genia were getting their groove on? Umm. Right there at DTD? Oh. Wait. You mean dancing. Gotcha! Looks like a great time.
  11. Until recently, all I had was a Honda and was in a similar situation. Even the highest priced trailer rental from one of the FF sponsors is still a better value than renting a MH from somewhere like Camping World... and no stress of learning to drive it, backing it in, hooking up the hoses, lighting the water heater, etc etc etc.
  12. I wouldn't lose sleep over what people probably think of as "roaches." They're likely water bugs. We call them Palmetto Bugs up here in SC. They come in looking for water, not to breed or as an indication that you don't clean or whatever. They're big and look gross, but that's about it. They're all over the Fort, too. I've seen quite a few run by when I've been outside.
  13. Great TR, TCD! Enjoyed reading along. Can't wait to hear about your ultimate bragging rights
  14. If I haven't said so, Great TR. I, too, noticed real bacon at TE recently. I wonder if it has anything to do with their lunch menu? They had the really, really good bacon on their bacon cheeseburgers when I last had one.
  15. The food sounds heavier than I prefer, but I'm excited to hear what Gwen thinks. Seems like we have similar tastes based on TR's. I'm also just glad there's a better TS/CS option in MK. So much of the food there was "meh" and priced at a premium.
  16. As usual, another great Stefa TR. I was wondering why Genia needed directions to Orlando and I had to keep it super secret. Now I know. Can't wait to read more.
  17. It was somewhere that I enjoyed as a novelty... until I went for breakfast and just ordered off the menu, not the skillet. I was very impressed with my selection. I think it was the bbq pork eggs benedict or something similar to that. Was the price worth it? Probably not for an adult with no kids, but it was still a nice enough meal.
  18. Great idea, Mo. I'm still batting around the idea of Thanksgiving, but I wonder if there's anything special or if I'll just be hanging out. Seems like the ones that are traditionally family-oriented don't offer much in the way of activities.
  19. Yeah, you can definitely add the Dining Plan later. I did it last summer about a week out.
