  1. Yes they do. There are thousands of simple and elaborate special events that take place throughout the year at WDW. The department responsible for producing those has it down to a science. Being in that department now, I get to participate at the pre-event briefing for all events taking place on the days I work. I get to see the pre and post event plans and nothing is left to chance. Events are over staffed and contingency arrangements are made in case it rains for every outdoor event.
  2. Unless it's changed since I was informed about DiVine, she is played by a number of performers. It's the creation of Priscilla Stephan, who sometimes played her early on and founded the company "Living World Entertainment" that Disney hires for DiVine's performances. http://www.livingworldentertainment.com/web/LVinesDefault.aspx
  3. Busty Cupper had a field day with this question on Voldy.
  4. From DME . "On your departure day, you must check in no less than 3 hours prior to your flight departure time."
  5. From the DME FAQs Q - Can I get dropped off or picked up from a different resort? A - No. In order to provide the best possible service to arriving and departing guests, Disney’s Magical Express is only offered to and from the resort where a Guest is registered.
  6. Were they saying that the announcement about Maelstrom closing was going to be made on the 8th?
  7. All I have is unofficial internal buzz among CMs and wishful thinking.
  8. I found, years ago, what worked for me was to have a home workout room. Nothing too elaborate, a treadmill, elliptical, a few weights, and most important, a setup for my laptop and a TV. I have no excuse not to workout. But I still have to force myself, I hate doing it.
  9. Good for you, stick with it. One third of the way is a big deal. And what I said about physical exercise, like much of what I say about myself, is baloney. At my age, I'm very conscious about my weight and health and really do work at it. I do about an hour of cardio and strength exercises six days a week. If I can do it, anyone can.
  10. Talk about parallels. We are on our 60s, have two Silky Terriers that we adore, and I was an engineer. Let's see, what would I like for a gift? Got it. I would like for my son and my DIL to just visit me. That would be great.
  11. Congratulations on your weight loss. Have you reached your goal? As for the 5k, while I'm close enough and love animals of all types, I break out in hives at the thought of any physical exercise.
  12. If the next stop was the Lodge, why not. That's what I would have told them. I wonder why the driver told them that they need to get off and catch another bus back to the Outpost?
  13. Yes I did because I knew you couldn't resist Googling it Dave pretty much guessed it. It was called "Empty Nest" and was on for a number of years.
  14. That's correct. It also had the exterior of the house used on another long running TV series. Do you know what it was? No Googling it.
  15. There may be and I just haven't run across them, but I don't recall seeing a hat for any of the WDW resorts. If there aren't any, I wonder why? Is it that it would cut into the sales of generic WDW/Disney/Mickey hats, but so what?
  16. I'm thinking Tokyo DL is cleaner, in better shape, better managed, and with a higher level of guest relations.
