I missed the question the first time you asked. I'm thinking if I last six months in this position, I might try concierge again. No clue yet about 11 and 12.
-
I can be your assistant. I'll start by removing the paint using my antique blow torch. Don't worry Gwen, what could possibly go wrong?.
-
Actually Disney doesn't push you, you push them. Unfortunately for you, that will be the case. I'm still waiting for a Ken apple pie. I'll settle for an apple turnover.
-
I doubt that's the case and you can be good at both, not just one.
-
They may not be as cool as the list, but unlike the list, they are obtainable. Due to the nature of Front Office jobs such as Bell Cap, Front Desk Agent, and Concierge, where you have one on one contact for more than just a few seconds, you do meet some interesting people. I've met, had discussions with, chauffeured, and served some of the biggest names in politics, business, TV, the music industry, and movies with the most recent being just a few weeks ago.

Is that a real WDW job or is that a wish job?
-
Yes, that's my list, so far, of my cool jobs that I've had, but I'm not done yet. My goal is 12.
-
Here's my list of what were IMO, cool jobs starting in 1996 After being a CM for no more than six months at a time, I would return to the real world and resume my engineering business until the next break. My 18 year anniversary at WDW is in three weeks. 1.WDW Dolphin, Front Desk 2.WL, Bell Cap 3.YC, Bell Cap 4.GF, Bell Cap, 5.GF, Front Desk, 6.GF, Concierge 7.WL, Bell Cap 8.Bus Driver 9.Convention Guide

That would be me. We're certainly not on a budget, but we won't pay those prices for any of those offerings. In fact, unless it's a special circumstance, we never eat at any of the WDW restaurants unless I'm able to get the CM discount. Let's take the Sparkling Dessert Party for $49 as an example. It's only about a 90 minute experience. The deserts are fine, but how many desserts can you really eat. And as for the Champagne they offer, not exactly the top of the line. Ok, you get VIP fireworks viewing, so what? The thousands of other guests that watch it for free seem to like it just fine.

Correction, it's all of WDW. I don't understand it, but people are spending the money on the events below. And some of those prices don't include tax or tip. They'll pay those ridiculous prices, but they'll complain about ticket prices. Harambe Nights $119 Illuminations Dessert Party $49 Epcot Wind Down $35 Frozen Summer Fun $69 Ice Skating $10 Eat to the Beat Dining Pkg.$50/80 Food & Wine Festival Premium Package $199 Epcot Late Nights Street Party $79

Rumor: Maelstrom closing - CONFIRMED
Lou... replied to GaDawgFan.....Kelly's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
May have, really, may have? I don't want to see them. It's amazing that they found a way to use "maelstrom". . -
But it doesn't have to be a short kid, it can be an adult with a cognitive disability and most of us on here would fit that description. Rider Switch is listed as a feature on the "Services for Guests with Cognitive Disabilities" page. Maybe too much detail. It reads like a legal document. Party1 agrees that Party2 will not board the attraction until Party3 , yada, yada, yada.

Rumor: Maelstrom closing - CONFIRMED
Lou... replied to GaDawgFan.....Kelly's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
There's a rumor you could start Marty. If it hasn't been started already. -
As the bar is set very low at Epcot, a lot of people would agree.
-
Don't know if it clears anything up and for what it's worth, below is the full description regarding "Rider Switch" currently on the HUB. Take it with a grain of salt. Whatever the policy is and like so many other policies at WDW, it's probably up to the CMs that are working the attraction at the time. Chad the CM sees 3 people, sure come on in. Thirty minutes later, Becky the CM sees 3 people and says, sorry, only 2 people allowed. Description Parties with more than 2 Guests may be able to take advantage of the attraction Rider Switch program, which enables you to experience an attraction

As long as they're "S" through "Z". Guess I'll never know what those are.

Thanks for the definition of "sarcasm" Dave As my academic education ended at the 9th grade, I never got to the "S" words, so any help with words beginning with the letters "S" through "Z" is greatly appreciated. I did pass the "F" words with flying colors.

Understandable, my best guess is that due to the bus changes at DTD, that sign is for guests going to TL. It may be at all the resorts. Below is a portion of the letter that guests booked at the Poly receive. There is also a in-room flier that says the same thing. "The Nanea Volcano Pool and Slide will close for enhancement in late July through early 2015. During this time, the Polynesian East Pool, the leisure pool at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, will remain open for your use. Should you find the Nanea Volcano Pool unavailable during your stay, one complimentary ticket to Disney’

That's what I thought, otherwise why would you expect to get the same treatment at the Fort as you do at the Poly.
