  1. We are? As a front desk agent, concierge, and bell cap, you yell, are demanding, and be rude to me and I'll do only what I have to do in order to get you out of my sight. You come across as sincere and undemanding, I'll bend over backwards and I'll definitely make some Disney magic for you. On the buses, I used a different approach. I would be super accommodating to an overly rude guest. By the end of the ride and after having some time to think about how they treated me as compared to how I treated them, they'd be so embarrassed and would apologizing to me. Happened every single time
  2. It's held on Tues and Thurs. with the "Wind Down" taking place at four locations every night. Is it worth keeping the food booths open for 2 additional hours and is it a question of diminishing returns? Also, there's no point in having a "Wind Down" if the park remains open.
  3. I don't think that it's a HUB specific calendar. Could it be that because they've added the "Late Nights live street party" which runs until 1am and the "Wind Down" which also runs past closing, that they figure they've got enough late night offerings..........for a price of course.
  4. I don't know, but the ticketing locations are independent non-Disney businesses. The Disney Planning Center located at the 4 Seasons is staffed by Disney CMs, so I would assume that whatever is available at WDW resorts would be available here as well.
  5. A screen capture of Nov 5th from the internal calendar on The HUB. How would you interpret it? (Edited, larger screen capture)
  6. You'll be fine, but even though there is an EMH, the F&WF is from 9am to 9pm. From the Mouse: "Epcot International Food & Wine Festival Presented by Chase 9:00AM-9:00PM"
  7. If the WDW CMs there, are selling admissions, don't they have to include a MB? I thought the question was, are they selling blank MBs?
  8. Stupid is as stupid does. $$$ for Disney.
  9. I'm going to come down somewhere in the middle. Whenever we have company from out of state and if they want to visit a WDW resort, AKL is usually one of them. So over the past 16 years, I've been there many times. As the AKL is very close to us, we don't have to take 3 buses to get there. However, it's highly unlikely that you'll come close to seeing 100 animals and birds during the short time that you'll be there. You should see more than 4 and 3 though, I always have. So if you have to take 3 buses, skip it. If you're expecting a zoo, skip it. If you have some down time, it's a good
  10. I guess a Fiend will have to stay at the 4 Seasons or at a WDW deluxe and find out exactly what they are offering that non-deluxe resorts aren't.
  11. It's not like WDW concierge CMs have any clout. They may have access to things that guests don't, but they can't just place a call and get an ADR where there isn't an opening. It still has to be done via the software system in place.
  12. Hey, I don't have one and I'm so excited that I just can't help myself.
  13. I saw that announcement last month on The Hub. They made the announcement about introducing in-costume MagicBands to help educate and excite guests about MBs and MyMagic. The program is voluntary for Merchandise, Disney Vacation Planning and Disney Planning Center CMs They'll be able to wear MagicBands issued by Costuming as part of their costume. Eligible Cast Members only, can choose a MB, but they're not the CMs personal MB and cannot be linked to MDE.
  14. I have no way of knowing what they do and don't have access to, but when I was one at the GF, I had access to every thing. I could sell tickets, make ADRs, etc. It wouldn't surprise me if they could do things that you can't, but I don't know.
  15. Absolutely If the WDW resorts concierge can do it, why wouldn't the concierge desk at the Four Seasons be able to as well.
  16. Let's assume that they were clueless. They say that "the onsite concierge desk was every bit as good as the Disney folks in purchasing tickets, making FP+ reservations etc." According to the Four Seasons website, there is a "Disney Planning Center" located next to the front desk staffed by Disney CMs. That being the case, is that who those people dealt with and thought it was the Four Seasons concierge desk when in fact it was the Disney Planning Center. Well, no wonder they were just as good. "The Disney Planning Center, conveniently located near the front desk on the Resort’s lobby level,
  17. Don't know. If they can get tickets there, maybe they can get MBs too. Below is from their web site. "Meet one-on-one with a Disney Cast Member to plan the wonderful details of your stay, make ticket arrangements for the Disney theme parks"
  18. That changes as of today. You can buy MBs without having to link them at time of sale.
  19. Yes and at the Art of Animation, Contemporary, Pop Century, Port Orleans, and Swan & Dolphin resorts.
  20. Up until yesterday, if you wanted a MagicBand, and who doesn't, you had to present a valid park admission, a Memory Maker card or another MagicBand in order to link it at the time of sale. Lucky you, now you'll be able to buy a "Link-It Later" MagicBand without needing any of that stuff. Yup, for your convenience, I'm sure that's the reason, Disney will now allow you to buy one as a gift and link it in the future. It's currently being offered at the parks and other WDW locations, but I bet it won't be long before you see them in one of those gift card racks at your local Wal-Mart checkout
  21. Not looking to exit, just looking. Did you ask him if he paints with any other color? Do you camp at the Fort only in Dec?
  22. They probably figure that because DHS closes at 8, that the number of on-property guests that come after 3 will be low. Plus, of those that do come in at that time, most are bussing it anyway. As I've said all along, use the damn buses.
