  1. A drawback with any satellite service in our area is price and convenience if you need TV, hi-speed internet, and home phone. Because it's not bundled, it ends up costing more for the same service, so no point in switching.
  2. You've been looking at dirt waaaaay too long.
  3. He's going to be here in a couple of weeks, he doesn't know it, but we're going to the CM store to look for something to replace that abomination.
  4. Dollywood's attendance numbers are tiny in comparison to MKs. How long would it take to load and strap down a half dozen scooters or WCs? Who would do it and what would be the reaction from the other riders. Leave it as it is. It's not broken, no need to fix it.
  5. The rating system is very complex. It uses algorithms, biorhythms, rhythm and blues, algebraic equations, and one secret factor. How many times you've been to WDW is just one factor. I'll tell you what the secret factor is if you send me 5 bucks.
  6. Sure they do. In my area they completely redid 192 and are widening the road which runs by my development If it's a toll road, at least we get the out of staters to chip in.
  7. Don't be. If she works in Guest Communications, she's been trained, more than likely over-trained, to deal with complaints and how to resolve them. It's routine for her. Most guests will calm down after talking to one of the CMs anyway. Having held so many positions at WDW, you get to hear a certain amount of complaints and after while you know how to handle them. They don't want to directly alienate or be confrontational with guests. And that's why using the honey instead versus the vinegar approach is the way to go.
  8. Not really. If they truly need to use a scooter, they can get a handicap card and park in handicap parking. It's close enough to ride the scooter to the entrances How were you planning to get your rental scooter to the parking lot?
  9. Gotta take that part back...........for now. Steven did email me to say that he only supplies the content and does not moderate the responses. Stay tuned.
  10. Nope, only buses, monorails, ferries, and larger boats.
  11. Good point. Having loaded hundreds and hundreds of scooters, I've witnessed and grabbed scooters in order to keep them, especially three wheel smaller scooters, from tipping over while exiting the bus. And even though I always said "make sure you're past the end of the ramp before turning" they hardly ever listened. It happens when the user turns too soon at the end of the ramp. The rear wheel goes over the flange on the side of the ramp and they start to tip over. There is only the one front wheel in the center which acts as a pivot point instead of the fourth wheel which is further out and
  12. How was I supposed to know that was your last time at the park? You could have gone after that. I do remember the circumstances and if that was your most recent, you're not moving up.
  13. What works against you is that you're only a few hours away. If Mo lived that close, she'd be at WDW every weekend. As for working for the Mouse, that's a negative as well. If you ever drive to DL from the east coast just for a 24 hour park day and drive back the day after, then the committee will revaluate the rating system and maybe add a TJ rating. Prize, it's not a prize, it's a rating system. Why do you think you should be ahead of Dave? When was the last time you went to a park?
  14. I emailed the knucklehead that posted the article, asking why my response was later deleted and this is what I got. "I will be out of town on vacation from Friday, August 29 through Monday, September 1. I will return to the office on Tuesday, September 2 Aloha! Steven Merchandise Communications Manager Disney Theme Park Merchandise" Aloha, what's that all about? Is he going to Hawaii for the weekend? Just another idiot Disney manager, but aren't they all? I'll email him again on Tuesday. This isn't over.
  15. I left a comment (#13) saying it and they left it in. Let's see if anyone in a decision making position picks up on it.
  16. I'd like to see Disney announce that all profits will go to animal rescues in the Orlando area.
  17. Nice Marty, but where's the image of Mickey waving a white flag?
  18. Apples and oranges. Dominos sells franchises, Starbucks isn't. If you go to the Starbucks investor relations page, you'll see it spelled out.
  19. I have so many words to describe Brent, but some wouldn't get through the filter and none are complementary, so I won't post them.
