More than you ever wanted to know about WDW bus service
Lou... replied to Lou...'s topic in Travel and Transportation
Some of the start times are conservative. IE, the published time for when buses start running from the resorts is one hour before opening, but it's actually earlier than that. Another little know fact is that if you plan to use a park to transfer to your resort and the park is closed, buses only take guests to the resorts and will not pick up guests that want to go back to the park. Once closing time is reached, it's full buses out and empty buses back. So make sure your ADR is over before the park that you plan to transfer at closes. -
It doesn't seem to bother him at all as it's just off the cornea. It's strange to see this perfectly dark green dot on his eyeball. We're not to crazy about them going in to remove it. The Vet feels it's not urgent and maybe it will go away on it's own. Buddy has his annual teeth cleaning session in a few months where they put him under. It's a perfect time to have it removed if it's not gone.

Buddy has recently developed a green dot on one of his eyes. It's about the size of the head of a pin and is very green. We took him to the Vets yesterday and they had no clue and sent their findings to a dog eye specialist. They called us today and the specialist doesn't know either. The only thing they come up with is that something has attached itself to Buddy's eye. It doesn't seem to bother him. They recommend that at some point, he be put under anesthesia and whatever it is be surgically removed. Anyone run accross this with their dog or cat?

Stay away from this CM if you're at WDW. You'll be putting your life in his hands. -
If you're at the Fort and looking for a new car, check out post #1 in red. Removed, it ended on the 13th.

I didn't do it, too much work for me. It's information that's made available to all CMs. -
How do you get from...
Lou... replied to disney92's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Don't know if you noticed, but we now drop off in the charter lot instead of at the load zones at DHS. That's so we can get in line to get the second leg of the trip. That leg can be to any resort except for the MK resorts. Most of the time it will be from whatever resort to the MK, but once in a while, we'll do a POP to Studios run before picking up at a resort for the MK. Only if the bus is a DTD bus. DTD would dispatch a bus to a resort to pickup for the Studios. Drop of at Studios, get in line and get a Studios to POP to DTD run, if that is what they need. -
Walt Disney World Bus Information Busses service all Walt Disney World Resorts including the Swan and the Dolphin and run approximately every 20 minutes. Busses to Disney theme parks and water parks leave from Walt Disney World Resorts only. The only exception is Guests can catch bus transportation to Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney?s Animal Kingdom parks from the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC). Busses to Walt Disney World Resort hotels leave from the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney?s Animal Kingdom, Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon and Downtown Disney. D

How do you get from...
Lou... replied to disney92's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
You got it Carol. I never doubted it. If you have absolutely nothing to do some morning, catch the DHS bus at the Outpost. Make sure you verify with the driver that they operate out of the MK hub. In other words, that they are a Magic bus. And you thought I was one of a kind. They should be, but nothing is ever 100% with the buses. Get on and don't get off. You'll stop at DHS, go to another resort from there, and return to the MK. Just make sure you tell the driver you're not getting off at DHS and that you're going to MK, the long way. They'll think you're nuts, but it'll be Ok. -

Lou... replied to disney92's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
No, CM buses which are called ES buses, for "employee shuttle", operate behind the scenes. Now wouldn't you think that Disney would call them CMS buses, for "cast member shuttle"? What you might be referring to are the college program buses. They're the blue & silver third party buses that you might see around WDW that shutle the CP CMs to and from their dorms. They are called the "loser cruisers" by the kids. -
How do you get from...
Lou... replied to disney92's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
No, but your line of thinking is on the right track. All buses operate out of one of four Hubs, MK, DTD, AK, & Epcot. Where's DHS, you might ask? They mooch off of the other Hubs. That's a big clue. -

Good guess, but no. Bob is correct saying that FW buses remain FW buses. -

Bus to MK without getting off and transferring? Wonder if this will challenge Carol? Got to go though, EpcotBus not MagicBus today. -
It's basically a green flat bed delivery truck with sides, a canopy if needed and bench seats. The Safari trucks are much more interesting. I would have expected more for the price. Especially if you pay the full price of $189. I also wouldn't decide to do it or not based on what CMs say. If someone asked me if they should do the back stage tour at MK, I would say no, but most people love it. And I would too I guess, but we become jaded when we're there all the time.
