  1. I did look them up but it wasn't because of any recent post. I believe I looked up Skyp4wdw after they posted a response on another DIS forum about a bus accident last year. I wanted to see if there was any profile info before calling them Jackasses for writing some stupid comments. Never did though. I wonder if they're on here?
  2. This is my office phone, really. Wonder if they have anything that I can add to it in order to make it feel more like Disney?
  3. Unfortunately for you, we're hoping for lots of rain soon. The area needs for it to rain. But you're in luck, they're hardly ever right on forecasting specific days. Historically, other than the summer, early fall months, March comes in second as far as rainfall. I wouldn't concern myself about it. It does happen from time to time.
  4. I'm a loser, this is my cell phone. My wife got it for me years ago and said, you're taking this. It makes her feel better. I don't even carry it on me most of the time, stays in the car. I can make and receive phone calls, which is rare, and that's it. Oh, I can receive texts but sending one takes forever. So if I send a text, it's important. So all this stuff you guys are talking about is a foreign language to me.
  5. And if you're in that neck of the woods, visit downtown Celebration. It's right up the road. Let me know and I'll buy you an ice cream.
  6. Not from Mouseplanet. For you cabin dwellers, the Wilderness Swimmin' Pool will be going through a refurbishment 5/2 - 6/10/11
  7. In addition to the resorts you mentioned, WIFI is available at over thirty WDW resort locations. The key word for this program is FREE. WDW information shows that they charge $4.99/hr or $9.95/day at all of the locations. Are you saying that it's free at the resorts you listed?
  8. If you recall TCD posted a thread last year about a DVC on or near the Fort that would be announced, I believe, in April. If that happens, that would mean that there will be two new DVC projects. Is there that much demand for DVCs? Or is Disney just playing games?
  9. Conventional wisdom points toward it being a DVC. As a former CM, I visit from time to time and chat with some friends. Nothing official, but over the past few months the sense that I get is that it might be an expansion of the existing resort, maybe a super concierge building, in the continuing effort to put it in the same class as some of the 5 star resorts in the area.
  10. That's SOP for that site, six months at a time. The thing I don't understand is why Disney holds back. They do have an up to date calendar that not only shows the operating hours up until Oct, but also shows times for everything going on in the parks. It's not available to the public, but it exisits. BTW, I'd go with the Travel Agent calendar for accuracy.
  11. Things come and things go. PI was a business and it had to make a profit while living up to the Disney image. I guess it wasn't doing either towards the end. Business was slow and some of the clientele was not what Disney wanted. It had run it's course. Now if you want the clubs, Disney is willing to let others provide them. Does anyone remember Church Street Station? In it's prime, it was a great place to party, and it disappeared once PI and City Walk were built.
  12. For the Star War's geeks, which I'm one, May 20th, mark it on the calendar. http://www.orlandosentinel.com/the-daily-disney/la-trb-star-tours-disney-star-wars-03201116,0,4708248.story
  13. Any guesses as to what the 6 to 7 story T shaped building which is being added to the GF will be?

  15. If you get an extra one of those nifty new gift cards and then go to the "Fiends Helping Fiends" sticky in the Community Board, the most recent post might give you a few ways that you'll be able to put it to good use and get something fun in return.
  16. No, I don't have an annual pass. If you have one, you should do it.
  17. If you're a race fan this might be for you. WDW annual pass holders are invited to take the Richard Petty Driving Experience Shop Tour for free. The new Richard Petty Driving Experience Shop Tour is a half hour experience that will gives guests a behind-the-scenes look at the track?s design, history, and maintenance shops. A van ride around the one-mile oval is included. The tour is conducted at 8:30 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. It normally costs $15. For reservations call 800-237-3889. AP holders can bring up to four guests with a maximum group size of 20.
  18. I'm surprised that your AP already had the RFID tag in it. Wonder when Disney started putting them in? We've had our RFID ID cards for about a year, but the readers are not in place yet so we're still scanning using the mag strip. Did you still have to do the finger scan?
  19. Disney is testing a new ticket scanning system at Epcot which does not require tickets to be inserted into a machine. It would eliminate turnstiles thus making it easier and quicker to enter the parks, especially for families with strollers or ECV/WCs. I have no inside information and this is a guess on my part. I think they may be using tickets with RFID technology. My basis is, that the new CM ID cards use it and costuming now uses it as well. All of our costumes now have an RFID tag. I'm also guessing that they will also use it in future KTTW cards. In my real line of work, RFID (Radio Fr
  20. It's a little less than an hour from the Fort. Follow the link and it'll give you all the info you need. http://www.nature.org/ourinitiatives/regions/northamerica/unitedstates/florida/placesweprotect/The-Disney-Wilderness-Preserve.xml
