  1. Thanks Gary, I appreciate it. The Fiends that have dealt with me on my various efforts over the past 3 years know the real me, so I'm letting this post and the Facebook post roll off and wish him the best wherever he makes his online home.
  2. If it is a Segway, or variation thereof, you control some of the actions by shifting your weight.
  3. It's located right next to where they have the Sparkling Dessert Party and they pay big bucks for that.
  4. Been there, done that. Nice, but wanted more days.
  5. I don't see it on the map either. It's showing an inaugural date of 6/11 but I checked the show times calendar for the previous 3 months and it's blank.
  6. Oh, you have to pay for apps, I wouldn't know. Here's a secret. WDW resort to park buses don't run on a schedule. Don't tell anyone.
  7. Who knew that the WDW buses ran on a schedule? Must have happened after I left. Check it out and let us know how it works. From ITunes: "DPart is a best way to get the most out of your Disney World vacation. Get park bus schedules, park hours, and a GPS map to get you around all the parks and bus stop locations. Join thousands of other vacationers who are using DPart to make the most out of their vacation time."
  8. What, your super secret source didn't notify you? What a slacker. I'd tell them to shape up or else.
  9. A little dated, a little dated, it's a lot dated. It's ancient. Bingo! Lou is too young? Ken, did you fall and bang your head on something?
  10. I believe this might be the show. It's called "Winged Encounters-The Kingdom Takes Flight," https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMLyMW-x8Qc
  11. This video of the DL Paris parade gives a really good look at the Fairy Godmothers on wheels. Notice that they don't bend from the neck down. I'm betting that the gowns have a solid frame underneath them from the neck down and the CMs step into them. And of course we all know that the wand is a control. My guess is that it might be a custom Segway. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLzgSErQOWs
  12. I do write it off but not because it's hard to do, but because of the effect that they're going after. It's not just lights on a building, that's easy, and they do have lights on buildings all over WDW that are left up year round. It's the icicle effect dripping off the roofs and sides of the spires and main structure. How in the world could you ever hide that and still achieve the desired visual effect? The only thing I can come up with is to project it onto the castle, but you're not going to get the brightness that you get with individual lights or match the effect. It would still look so
  13. Depending on the source, it took anywhere from 1-1/2 to 3 years of actual construction time to build all of the original MK and it took about that long to build one ok ride, really?
  14. Bad news Marty, I think the COP will reopen while you're there. I mean how long can it take to remove the seats and replace them with cots.
  15. Hey Ray, I looked up "Lite Locker". BTW, the info is from 2010. I bet sales have gone through the roof. Pun intended. Do you really think that system is a good idea and that the castle is a practical application for it? $70 to cover up 24 feet, I wonder how many feet of lights are on the castle? I tried to buy the system, but I can't find the company that sells it.
  16. I think BigTom meant to put his response on the outside of the quote.
  17. Maybe they haven't found that version because they're searching for them during non-Christmas months and can't see them. What's the opposite of great minds think alike?
  18. Don't know what that means, but I'm sure it's a compliment.
  19. The Fort just announced that due to a shortage of air, those damn, annoying, inflatables that now pass as Christmas decorations, their wording, not mine, are banned.
