CM discounts. ..
Lou... replied to twiceblessed....nacole's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Looped by Nacole's site with the same result. CMs get 20% off at participating restaurants, subject to block-out dates, but they also get a 40% discount at eight restaurants. In addition, CMs get a holiday package which among other things, includes 3 dining coupons. One each with 30, 40,and 50% off. The tip which is based on the full price is automatically added to the check. -
Italy's Astounding New Flag Waving Act
Lou... replied to Lou...'s topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
That it does. And if nothing else, it sounds positive, and that's what we want to convey about the wonderful entertainment offerings at Epcot. -
I'd rather it said "The Lone Ranger" on it though.
-
They probably just don't have that many in Costuming. The only thing CMs have to supply are shoes, unless they're special and then they're provided. That makes all the difference in the world. I have an official WDW bright orange vest too, but it doesn't say "Ranger" on it.

Enough with the ranger or Fort cop baloney. The only difference between a Fort Ranger and any other Fort CM is the hat. They're not real park rangers like at a state or federal park. Yes, I have always had an issue with authority.

Can I get back to you on that? I have to look up what "entertainment euphoria" actually is. -
Beach Club Undergoing Major Refurbishment
Lou... replied to BradyBzLyn...Mo's topic in Resorts Board
Those bungalows should have been built on one of the vacant islands that are just sitting there rotting away But no, they squeezed them into the Poly resort obstructing part of the view. -

In keeping with the positive tone, I've edited your post as I'm sure that's what you meant. -
Beach Club Undergoing Major Refurbishment
Lou... replied to BradyBzLyn...Mo's topic in Resorts Board
But in both cases there was a in-room flyer, like the one below for the Poly, and an Advisory that made it very clear that the pool was closing and giving guests an alternative. The shut down is also shown on the internal calendar. So far, but it's still early, I haven't found a flyer saying that the pool is part of this refurb. I think it will be refurbed at some point. Could it be that after the Beach Club is refurbed, they'll do the Yacht Club, and then do the shared common areas like the restaurants, Stormalong Bay, etc that are between them at some point? -

About the author of that article, Tom Corless. "Tom has been regularly visiting the Walt Disney World® Resort from the time he was 4 months old. While he has made countless visits in the last 25 years, he did not become a truly active member in the Disney fan community until the summer of 2007, when he decided to launch the WDW News Today website and podcast. Tom has since become an Orlando-local and is a published author on Walt Disney World." Wow, I'm impressed. Are we supposed to give this guy credibility after becoming a Disney fan only seven years ago. Around here, we call someone lik -
Beach Club Undergoing Major Refurbishment
Lou... replied to BradyBzLyn...Mo's topic in Resorts Board
I'm interpreting it as the Beach Club's public spaces and not the public spaces that they share with the Yacht Club side of the resort. I would think that they would mention it specifically as it will affect the Yacht Club's guests, big time. I would like to know ahead of time if it's closing. It might affect my decision to stay there. The hours of operation for the pool go as far as next Oct and it doesn't show it closing..............yet. Of course that can change at any time. The latest in room flyer regarding refurbs doesn't mention the pool............yet. That flyer is only for the first -

But you may want to hold off on watching this fine example of Italian entertainment so that you won't be overwhelmed because the traditional Berber music and dance troupe that will perform in Morocco isn't that far behind. Being a big fan of traditional Berber music and dancing, I'm all atwitter. I wonder if it'll be anything like what's on the video below? I hope it is because you guys deserve it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nRmqc4Qwr2g -

I don't see where it says that they are refurbishing the pool or the lazy river. -
So you're thinking of bringing your own cake, BYOC? That won't work because there is something very special about the cake they use.

Guest Parking at the Settlement
Lou... replied to djbogue's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Buses run from most resorts to DHS at night, just not after it closes. Short walk to where? -
My guess and it's just a guess, is that it will be about $200 over and above the regular cost of the cake.

Guest Parking at the Settlement
Lou... replied to djbogue's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
That's a given. I always factor that in. If I wanted to watch the fireworks at the Fort that night, that's what I'd do. Take my time enjoying the buffet at TE, walk around checking out the decorations, visit with Fiends and then go to the beach. Sounds perfect to me. -
I doubt it will be that much. You can get Mickey and Minnie for that.

"Glow With The Show" becoming "Made With Magic"
Lou... replied to BradyBzLyn...Mo's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
Sounds about right to me. Usually what they do at WDW is to allow admission for the CM and their guests for that event and not have it count against their Main Gate pass. Not as good as a comp ticket, but ok. Much like what they do for the F&W.
