I agree the prices for the Fort aren't bad compared to other resort spots. However when compared to the $28 rates we pay at local campgrounds it seems awful. I think framing it with other like properties is a fair way to compare.

Sorcerer's Hat leaving the Studios?
YENSIDCAMPER replied to AuburnChris's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
I liked the hat too Ray but I didn't like how much space it took up. The lack of space was really bad when they had the stage set up in front of it. -
Love the MK pictures and no matter how much I like DHS there is no place like the original. You guys look like you had a great time on this day and that makes me smile.

From my perspective anytime I can arrive at the FW check in is a good time! Seriously though we have typically been there mid day on Saturdays and rarely had to wait more than one car ahead of us. All the lanes are usually open. We also fax in our site requests and have been very lucky about getting a site we wanted. Enjoy your trip!

That is some trip report you have going Dave! Give Gwen a big thumbs up for wearing the Minnie ears on the first day! A super high five for Emma supervising the ToT that early in the morning. Kudos to Izzy for the entusiasm on the walk to the bus. Wow, Stella is so cute in that bus picture. She really resembles you a lot. I guess that means you look like a cute girl! (BTW you and INC look fabulous, way to go!) What more can be said about Anna? She really knows how to have fun! Finally INC is such a class act, how did you brainwash snag her? Seriously enjoying your report.

Good morning Dave! Are you enjoying the ice storm? If you get stuck at work remember we aren't far away. That is one sweet MH. I had a feeling you guys would make the change. Can't wait to read more.

An EGG-cellent Weekend at Stone Mountain
YENSIDCAMPER replied to GaDawgFan.....Kelly's topic in Trip Reports
I still can't believe how big that event was. We have been in that parking area before and there is a lot of space. We are still working on our calendar this far out but and the GG is on our list of things to try and do. I just haven't posted on that thread yet till I know for sure. Aren't we still a bit out of the booking window? -
An EGG-cellent Weekend at Stone Mountain
YENSIDCAMPER replied to GaDawgFan.....Kelly's topic in Trip Reports
Thanks for sharing this TR. I had no idea what a cool festival that was. We are close enough to make a weekend at SM. I may have missed it, do you know the date of next year's Eggtoberfest? -
Fun!

Fort Wilderness FAQ

We have never stayed in the cabins but we use our crockpot at the campgrounds. I don't see why it wouldn't be a good thing to take to the cabins. I would say go for it. I am sure someone that has stayed in the cabins will chime in soon. -

Disney Qwest. Is it worth it?
YENSIDCAMPER replied to h2odivers...Ray's topic in WDW and Disney Park Discussions
Ray, We have been several times and my two teenage boys love it but even they don't want to stay more than a couple of hours these days. It is worth a trip but it isn't going to make your trip. Mrs. YC and i were able to enjoy the nightlife of DTD a little while the boys played inside during our trip in June. Not sure that would work with your DD. YC…Eric -
I will most certainly take a cab because I don' think it would be prudent for us to drive. Heck we probably couldn't have walked to the Monorail and picked up a bus at the TTC after that meal and the "dessert" drinks we had. I remember we were one of the last ones out of the restaurant. I will go back and look at our pictures from that night, who knows you may have made it in one of them. We had a 35mm SLR then so we may not have taken as many pictures. Now that same trip we waited alone at the DTD bus stop until very late because the water taxis had stopped running. I am pretty certai

Mrs. YC and I went there on our first trip together in 1998. Yes that was before kids. We loved it. We stayed so late we had to get a cab from the GF to POFQ because the Disney transportation had shut down. We have always wanted to do it again. Now that our kids are finally old enough to leave alone long enough for us we will visit again!

We saw it tonight at the $5.50 movie and I think we all enjoyed it. It was packed theater and we were down front which isn't my favorite. My wife was crying she was laughing so hard at one point. We all came out of the movie glad we saw it. I agree with TCD it is a great family movie and there are a lot of clean laughs. We saw Mom's Night Out on DVD last night and we loved it. I would highly recommend it as a family flick as well.
