  1. I can hear my youngest son now, look daddy that lady has her -------- showing. In his loudest voice and finger pointing. You can fill in the blanks with your best guesses. I wonder what the lady with the cellphone picture conversation was like?
  2. I don't mind the coquina because when I open up the pop up this spring I will be reminded of the Fort when I once again sweep it out. I honestly don't know where this stuff hides? You can sweep for days and still find it. I say it is like snow, the longer it hangs around it is just waiting for more come. So maybe that will get me back to the Fort sooner.
  3. So, if someone were looking for a good school district for their kids in the Orlando area where would that be?
  4. Wow it doesn't seem that long ago I was watching TCD's TRs about the pool renovations just waiting to see how it turned out.
  5. Just out of curiosity, since OC has Disney as a tax base how is the educational system in OC? Is it well funded? Does it score well on state tests?
  6. We have never seen the draw to vinylmation either. They cost way too much to be easy to collect. The pressed pennies are cheap, the pins are easy and fairly cheep, the SOTMK cards are free for the most part; why pay $10 for a vinylmation?
  7. One of the Birnbaum books tells you to go the right it is the shortest path according to them. The specifically say to not go through Dinoland to get EE, Asia is the quicker route. I bet so many go right now that left is now shorter.
  8. Congrats to twin #1 for keeping it in the SEC even if it is at Gatorland. That looks like a great program she is in. I can't wait to hear what her coming years hold. Keep those three guys in mind with SOTMK cards or the rest of us will be bored without your TRs to read.
  9. Enjoying your trip, can't wait to see BLT. We have never been in there. I love seeing Disney the way kids the age of yours see it. Getting spit on over and over again is one of life's simple pleasures.
  10. We have found the chicken out lasts the sides, you may want to consider ordering extra sides. Has anyone else felt this way?
  11. I knew I liked Bob for some reason, he has good taste. Unless you count the Phillies that is.
  12. We have had the GAG twice now and both times got the white meat option. Both times I remember it being all breasts. This bummed the kids who like drumsticks but made me happy because I am a breast man myself.
  13. How could you forget my castle. I thought they would never get it done. Hey Page 2 this time I am getting closer to Page 1...
  14. As a pup owner we have stayed in 1400, 1500, and 2000 and loved them all. The back of 2000 was roomy and secluded and felt like camping and less like a theme park. 1500 was great and we loved the connection we felt to the "magic" and activity. 1400 we felt undersized but loved being that close to the movie. I would stay at any of them again.
  15. It is posts like this that make me feel connected to the Fort and yearn to return. Thanks Dave.
  16. This looks so cool, I am going to have try this with my kids.
  17. I agree, I love drinking out the mug. It does not fit well in my cupholder but is good enough. The lid controls the liquid well and it does stay hot for a lot longer than you would think.
  18. I guess Walt wanted the campground to feel remote and put it on the edge of the property not realizing that one day a towering behemoth would be staring down on it. Now this remote location is not as advantageous. Heck it even impacts the Contemporary, BLT, and I remember seeing it from the monorail between the Floridan and MK. Is no where sacred and more?
  19. A word of caution the red chip and dale mugs and the green Mickey insulated mug do not hold up all that well. The red mugs detail will melt in the washer so hand wash it. The paint on the green one will chip a little as it is used. No big deal but if you want your stuff to look new then extra care is needed. Unlike the I love NY mug I bought in Laguardia for $5 bucks 10 years ago that looks brand new. Go figure. Those New Yorkers are tough....
  20. Finally got read on a Monday morning, enjoying the story and waiting for more.
  21. We camp in a popup and stayed in the 1400 loop real close to the campfire and honestly we were so tired each night that the noise was not a problem with sleeping. The boys were 5 and 7 at the time.
  22. You are right Dave, my sincerest apologies. Loving the real trip report AC.
