  1. Woo Hoo!!! I feel a spring break trip to the Fort in my future for Spring Break!
  2. What stands out to me between the 63 and 69 photo is the canal out of Bay Lake. They had to drain it somehow and I guess this is how they did it. They obviously control the water levels there with the dam and that remote box TCD has pointed out before. Where does it drain to, I wonder? I will have to look at Google Earth soon to see where that canal ends. EDIT: Okay I looked and it goes all the way past Celebration and appears to dwindle into Swamp land. I am assuming Disney owns that Swamp land behind Celebration or it must be set aside as utility area of some sort by the county. Anyo
  3. Jeez, I am busy for two days and come back to a 9 page report of wonder. Lou is right don't you guys have work to do? Aaron, you and I must think alike as well. This past Easter we went to my MIL house and looked at her pictures from their trips in hopes of adding pictures to the WDW 70's/80's thread. Well out of 4 trips they had only about 15 pictures. The first thing my wife said was AC's family must have been rich to take all those pictures! This is awesome! I plan to read and see everyone you post. Thanks for sharing.
  4. This is the first one that made me really miss the Fort. My wife and I are so jealous. Enjoy your anniversary.
  5. Thanks for the answer Tim. I hope you heal quickly.
  6. The space is small and the line looks long but it moves pretty fast, in our experiences. I think that is why not many try it because it looks crowded at that window. I am afraid with SOTMK desk being fairly close more people will discover it.
  7. You wouldn't want to see me mad -- Bruce Banner Love the pIctures Kelly. RNR...ASS does not SMB.
  8. Thanks Mo! I was thinking it would have be something like Big Thunder to be as attractive as possible to younger guests. I am hoping for summer of 14 or early Fall. I wouldn't mind a trip back around Thanksgiving in 14.
  9. Tim, another question about your vinyl decals. How do you get the multiple colors for the characters? The Mickey in the window I understand how the cutter works. I can also see how you pieced the blue Mickey on the sides in the back together. I don't know how you got Buzz and Think with multi colors.
  10. What is the word on the thrill level of this ride? My wife says no Disney until this ride is open and Fantasyland is complete. Is there a projected date like summer of 14?
  11. Boat problem definitely SMB. I would have been PO'd the whole day, but you seemed to handle it very gracefully. Kudos to you. Thanks for posting as you can.
  12. I have had both and they are both great, affordable as Disney goes too, and usually not busy. It has a quiet and usually not busy eating space. Win-Win
  13. Yep these pictures need a good scanner, but I didn't have one handy so I actually took a picture of the pictures so these aren't good quality. I have touched them up and tried to get the glare out of it as much as possible to try and make them as presentable as possible. This next picture was blurry to begin with. I had really hoped to be able to read the name on the side but I wasn't able to.
  14. I agree with TCD, some of these photos of the early construction are awesome.
  15. I have gotten a look at some old pictures from my MIL from when my wife was little and they visited Disney in 78,79,81, and 84. I will be posting them over the next few days. Unfortunately they weren't campers so no Fort Pictures. I believe this is of Crystal Palace from the sidewalk heading towards Adventureland.
  16. Okay definitely wrong on the lazy morning. You made me tired just thinking about your run.
  17. I am guessing it was a lazy morning on the balcony with coffee and conversation?
  18. Wow sounds like a trifecta to me. Enjoy the place where Dreams come true.
