Great Pics Judy! You have some awesome kids.

There is a 6 mile trek along the lake shore up to an overlook of the valley, lake, and damn. You can also have someone drive you to the overlook and hike back.

Arrived at the Fort today!!
YENSIDCAMPER replied to GAFortFans..Shawn's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Have a great time! Make sure to get by and visit Marilyn and Gary. They are fun folks! -
I will keep my eye on that thread. We get Good Friday off so it might be something we can pull off. It looked like you guys had a great time last year.

I would be for a trip up north for a GG sometime. Gettysburg is a little far for us right now with the kids in school, but who knows maybe one day. I would love for the boys to visit the battlefield. We look forward to meeting more Fiends and visiting new places. Go Braves. Magic number = 1

Dave since Beth is not responding, as I can't get her to get her login, I will say on her behalf she had a ball playing "girl" with Anna. Thank you for letting them play together. :mademyday:

I love the perspective in this picture! As Anna does to all the Fiends, she has captured the YC clan's hearts. I would chase after her all day. We had a great time on this day when Anna wanted to continue to walk with us as we were going to our site after breakfast. We were able to snap a few good pixs. Anna was so fun playing with her glow necklace in the hammock. We had to be on our toes to keep her safe in the hammock but she loved it. We had a great visit with Carol as we were leaving. When we left we wished we had just stayed another night and skipped work and school the

Grumpy, Grandma, Doodle and Mike were missed this year! As well as any other Fiend that couldn't come. Dave has done a terrific job of setting this trip up both years. Your report has been extra fun as well. Thanks DIT!

Unleash the Villains: TCD's Friday the 13th TR
YENSIDCAMPER replied to Tri-Circle-D's topic in Trip Reports
Enjoying the TR. Glad to see that you are still out park hopping even when down a twin! I really hope to make it during the Halloween season sometime. I love the freak show and do not mind the crowds. That mob scene around the Hat was way worse than any of the Hyperspace Hooplas we have ever attended. Too bad Meg was unavailable. Missing a pretzel dog...SMB. -
Go Vols, We will continue to take some lumps but it will turn out fine. I bought that sweatshirt in the bookstore in the late 80's or early 90's when I was in school there. Pre-dates Mrs. YC. I had classes with both Reggie Cobb and Carl Pickens at different times. We were on the rise. We went 5-6 in 88 and bounced back to 11-1 in 89. If we did it once we can do it again soon. Anyway I am proud to say it has held up well and better yet, It still fits! Years of lifeguarding... a little bit of blood in the hair is old hat for me. Stella is a trooper!

Yep, flipped right out of my hammock and broke my crown just like Humpty Dumpty. Nah not me this time... Hope to meet you soon Marty.

Sad to read about the tragedy in DC. Braves Magic number = 4 Go Braves!!!!!

TCD, Dave definitely had the Primo site for room and a view. There are so many good sites here. I had my wife take these pictures just for you as I know you appreciate a good nap in a hammock and the view in the background was awesome. This was a great way to listen to nap through the Tennessee Oregon debacle. GO BRAVES!

I wanted to point out that Mrs. YC, who is next to that handsome fellow shoving a fork in his mouth, is wearing a Braves hat! We didn't have the heart to rub it in with Bob this year! Breakfast was amazing! Note the fork in mouth....it stayed there a lot this morning....and the rest of the weekend for that matter. What a blessed bunch of people the Fiends are; good friends, good food, and good drink, not to mention great weather and an awesome campground. I will post some of our pictures later to help draw this out. Go Braves!

Davy Crockett on the 4th of July
YENSIDCAMPER replied to YENSIDCAMPER's topic in Pictures from other Campgrounds
Well, we are packing up a day early. We've had fun with lots of games the wife and kids brought. Trying to salvage a weekend day before church camp. Popping down to drive home and pop right back up to hopefully dry out. -
Sorry we are camping in the rain just south of Nashville or we would have joined you guys. We really enjoyed meeting you at the Fort last year. Rattle and Humm is now one of our favorites. Thanks Eric and Beth YensidCampers

It's A BuckeyeFortFamily Spring Break 'EGG'stravaganza!!
YENSIDCAMPER replied to BuckeyeFortMama's topic in Trip Reports
Finally caught up reading. Loving the way you tour the World, we try to do the very same thing. Rope Drop or Bust. We love Michal, both our boys had their very first haircut with him on Main Street. He has been there forever, I had my haircut done by him in 1998 when the shop was in the alley way. Big Thumbs up to BFF for the driving all the way and HDDR that evening. -

I am certain you are right about it draining all the swamp land and controlling flooding now, but I can't help but feel that is how they drained Bay Lake at the time. How else could they have done it? It is also interesting to me that it fizzles out in what looks like swamp land right behind Celebration, another Disney creation. Thanks for showing me this book. I have been using the poster of Cinderella's Castle with Walt standing in front of it which has the title VISION under the picture, you may have seen it before at the parks, to motivate my staff to build an organization that will l
