Well, let’s get to what was probably the least magical part of our trip, the boat ride back to the Fort on the 21st. As I’ve already said, it was raining pretty hard. We headed out of the MK… note all the ponchos. We get to the dock, and the line is pretty long. But, eventually a big boat flying the green flag pulls up. I figure we have a chance to get on. But there’s a problem. Because of the weather, all small boats are suspended. There was a small boat picking up the Lodge people, so they have them get off and decide they board 50 Fort guests and 50 Lodge guests. Guess who was

We even make a fire at the lake in the summer. There's nothing like yapping and relaxing at a fire. Awwwww.... it's just not the same.

That's why I don't book through Disney anymore.

WHAT?!?!? You've never had a campfire?!?! I can't imagine that. Do you guys only camp at the Fort?

It's not too small. It's smaller, but a perfect size for what we wanted it for. We'll probably only use it at the Fort because we have a built in fire pit at home and most other sites where we camp have fire rings, but I'm OK with that.

Yeah, there was A LOT of rain that night. No worries, I also had a tasty beverage. It was! I'll have to post a picture of it all compacted. It's really small. Jason was initially not that excited about it, but once he saw it in person, he changed his mind. Thanks! The evening isn't finished yet... It took us awhile to get back to the Fort. I can't believe the DIsney fries changed at Disney Food Blog didn't do an article.

My guess is most of those ingredients are already there in a different form... Look at the roasted veggie flatbread you can order at lunch. A lot of those veggies could have come from that.

I disagree. There are a lot of situations where Disney does something "magical" for a person or family that everyone doesn't get. I think that's part of the Disney charm. Our pastor had a great series on what would happen if people "did for one what they wished they could do for everyone." It could change the world. I think unexpected special moments are important.

Still Sunday, December 21st After leaving the insanity of the MK, we crossed the water bridge. Much more peaceful, right? And arrived back at the Fort where things were much calmer. Big crowd, but hey, we had a good morning. That float just has way too much going on and is too big. I wonder who else was on the other side too. They could have stair-stepped it or something. That was Aloha Isle, I believe. Yes, that place! It was cute! And yes we did!

Their popcorn is the BEST.

Was he there in July? He looks familiar. I wonder if he's the same one who made Elena's gluten free flatbread.

Our local Starbucks does this too, but I don't know anyone who has been.

Welcome!!!! The issue is there's no sand pad, so you can only stake down 3 corners if you stay on the concrete. People do it though.
