  1. We really liked 1444. It was pretty private, and nothing was behind us. We liked being so close to the campfire and pool because we have a young son. Do keep in mind that if you back up to the campfire, that program is pretty loud and so are the movies afterward. It didn't bother us where we were (coud hear it for sure though), but I bet it's really loud in the sites closer to it.
  2. And you can bring food into Disney and/or come back to the Fort for some meals, so that helps too. Having a full kitchen saves us a lot of money.
  3. Monique, thank you so much for sharing!!!! When you say a block of cheese, are you talking about an 8 oz. block?
  4. I read on one of the reports that someone makes it, but I don't remember who. I'm curious if that someone is willing to share the recipe. I really want to make some for Christmas Eve but have never made it before.
  5. Aaron- My guess is when you turn in your voucher, you'll get the new kind of AP but current pass holders can choose to exchange or not. People holding partial non-expiration tickets or unused tickets would also have paper tickets. I thought the same thing. We don't park hop because we have a little guy, and it's not worth the extra expense, but I know tons of people who pay the extra to do it. Very curious.
  6. The boardwalk rides are INSANE. Somehow, my mom gets free tickets, or we wouldn't go.
  7. But if people can't figure out the current system, will they figure this out? I'm curious.
  8. I know we discuss the cost of Disney quite a bit, so I thought I’d compare it to my trip to the Georgia Aquarium today. Don’t tell Disney, but they come out as the better value for sure. Today, it was just my son and me. We were there for 4 hours and did everything that wasn’t an additional cost in that time (no extra tours, etc). Tickets Adult $34.95 Child $28.95 Parking $9.00 Lunch $17.95 We split chicken tenders and fries (it was plenty to split). I had a Diet Coke, and he had apple juice. Almost $18 for one basic meal and 2 drinks! Just for info… buying one picture was $21.00 So we spent $
  9. Monique, I haven't seen what people without cells/wifi devices will do. I know it's a big question of international travelers. I'm guessing there will be kiosks or something. Maybe a secondary market for ipod rental? As far as the wifi being slow, that's a big concern of mine. Guests already overwhelm the cell towers at times. I imagine the wifi will be the same.
  10. I don't park hop, but it will also affect people like TCD who do because you can only schedule one park per day.
  11. Yep. The info says that somewhere. Not liking that part at all.
  12. It was an attraction in Innovations that was open for about 30 minutes. LOL
  13. It will help that we will only have 3 day tickets, but then there's DTD, visiting other resorts, our anniversary dinner, etc...
  14. From Inside the Magic... I tried to post the actual text and was having issues. Some interesting details.... reservations for regular tickets will begin 60 days out. You can only make reservations for 1 park per day. You can only get a FP+ to an attraction once in a day. There will no longer be traditional FP. You can make changes during the day as you go. They will be adding additional CS restaurants (beginning with BOG lunch based on a different article I posted.) http://www.insidethe...g-enhancements/
  15. We are going for 8-9 nights, and I have PROMISED DH that we will have lots of Fort time. Remind me that closer. If I try to do too much, he'll put me on a Disney ban for a couple of years.
  16. Question... I've never eaten at Tutto Gusto, but would love to grab some apps when Jason and I have our World Showcase date night. Is there a good bit of seating and or counter space in the bar area? We'll be there Easter week, so it will be crazy.
  17. Good points! We always order a bottle of wine at dinner, but that isn't everyone.
  18. Just curious though... Why not make it table service all the time? It would be slightly slower but higher in price.... Especially with booze in the mix.
  19. I can't imagine missing my whole morning to wait on lunch there. That's the best touring time, especially when it's busy!
  20. I can't remember if it said this in the article or in a discussion post, but apparently during busy times, guests are starting to line up at park opening and waits have been super long. No one on this site has reported an issue though. It will be interesting to see how it works out.
  21. From WDW Magic... Fantasyland's new 'Be Our Guest Restaurant' is already on the leading edge of restaurant technology and it looks like things are about to go a step further. Starting this month, selected guests are going to be given the chance to choose an arrival time for lunch online, and even choose items from the menu prior to their arrival. This will all be done on a website, similar to the new FASTPASS+ system that is already in testing with guests. Once the arrival time and menu items have been selected, the guest will arrive at the designated time, check in and pay at an exp
  22. From WDW Magic.... Epcot's nighttime spectacular IllumiNations Reflections of Earth is about to start a round of testing for inclusion into FASTPASS+. Two locations are going to be trialled, one near Germany and the other in World Showcase Plaza. FASTPASS+ will ultimately allow guests to not only choose attraction FASTPASS times, but will also provide preferred viewing locations for shows, parades, and fireworks. http://www.wdwmagic....g-locations.htm
