  1. Agreed! I think it's especially exciting to help someone plan for the first time. But for the record, I found FF through google. However, I was far from a Disney newbie.
  2. Exercise at Disney? Doesn't all that walking around the parks count?!?!?!
  3. As far as locking bikes, I would lock them, only because there are THOUSANDS of sites/cabin/people at the Fort. I've never heard of anything happening there, but with so many people, I'd worry a little. I've never locked bikes in another campground, but I've also never stayed at another campground that ran internal busses.
  4. You don't need a cart, but they are fun. We do rent a cart when we go to the Fort, but we use an outside company. Check out the link Monique posted. There's good info there. We stay at another campground that has way fewer sites than the Fort but is LARGE like the Fort, and they don't allow carts. We ride bikes all over there and enjoy it. We put our son (almost 4) in one of those trailers you pull behind, and we can also fit a cooler and snacks with him for the beach/pool. On our last trip, we had 2 half days and 7 full days. We did 5 park days (go at opening, come back for nap, stay until 7-
  5. And you could always have one of our friendly travel agents keep an eye on the Fort for you.
  6. I'm late but loooooove the slide picture. Glad CM refunded the 2 meals. It looks like you guys made the best out of a bad situation.
  7. I like the crowd calendar and touring strategy on easywdw.com. I'll admit it. I'm a planner. We go when it's super busy, and I don't like to wait in lines.
  8. My son loves traveling and is pretty easy going, but we did a Disney trip when he was 4 months (really for me and DH), just turned 3, and were going back for his 4th birthday. He LOVES it and still talks about random details from last year. There's something the other Fiends haven't warned you about though. And it's serious.... The Fort ruins all other campgrounds. We were supposed to go somewhere else for Spring Break this year. I started looking for a nice campground and comparing amenities, etc. and nothing compared. I kept thinking, wow, this will cost almost as much as the Fort and isn't
  9. On zulily.com today. Some of the Star Wars stuff is still pretty expensive. If you but one thing, you get free shipping the rest of the day.
  10. Those are both highly rated and seem like they would work great. We use frozen water bottles to keep things cool, so we can drink them later.
  11. Ha ha! I think most of us have 0 warning points. Apparently, unlike most things around here, they are very serious.
  12. Welcome!!!!!!!!! Good for you for jumping right in! Will you be pushing a stroller? We use one with under storage, so we just put a soft sided cooler under it. If no stroller, I'd use a back pack because they're more comfortable. You can probably put 2 of those lunch size coolers in it if you can't find an insulated one. Or, you can rent a locker, but that ties you down to where you'll be at lunch or when you want drinks.
  13. I read somewhere about the Tangled show too, so you aren't TOTALLY crazy....
  14. I'm in even though I'm not a NASCAR person. We love tailgating so much that we talk about going to a race someday, just for the experience. Actually I went to the Daytona 500 when I was around 10, but I don't count that.
  15. White chocolate covered pretzels are my fav!!!!! The strawberry idea sounds yummy. I wonder if putting one in one of those giant marshmallows would be less dripping.
