  1. Let’s finally finish Tuesday. I know this has been discussed before, but the theming of Be Our Guest is just amazing. Zachary got to carry a candelabra to our table, nice touch. We were sat in the Rose Gallery which is usually just for lunch. I thought it was perfect for us. I was worried that Z would be scared of the thunder in the West Wing, and it was quieter than the main dining room. Here’s a bad picture of the beast visiting our dining room. Dinner started with rolls and salted butter. I love salt, so salted butter definitely does not SMB. I ordered the shrimp and scallo
  2. It was. And Lou helped with a huge version. I should frame that for Jason. He's so shocked, and the picture captured it perfectly!
  3. After napping, it was time to head back to the MK. We arrived and got to witness another first…. The flag ceremony. I love that my boy knows the Pledge of Allegiance. After the flag ceremony, it was time to cash in our Princess FPs. Yep, Z was cheating on Ariel again. He really wanted to meet Rapunzel because she has long, blonde hair. While Ariel is his first love, he thinks that after marrying her, he’ll marry Rapunzel too. I guess I better start looking for property in Utah. In order to meet Rapunzel, we were also forced to meet Aurora and Cinderella. Actually, Z was goo
  4. I wouldn't do it without the dinner package. We just don't wait that long for anything. It's a pretty good show though. Despite Dave thinking it SMB.
  5. Great update! Love that you got some Disney magic on night 1. We really need to do the HDDR on the next trip. I'm the only one that's ever been.
  6. Soarin Test Track Sum of All Thrills- my personal fav
  7. Let’s get our MK day started! It’s a day that started out bad, ended up great, and we experienced countless firsts, including seeing a certain attraction with the lights on. We’re a RD family. Since we only get to visit during busy times, the trade-off of getting up early is worth it to us. During Spring Break, the MK opens at 7 AM every day for EMH. That means an EARLY start, but it also means we have the park to almost to ourselves for about 2 hours. Or at least that was the plan. I never depend on Disney transportation because I’m a little OCD and don’t trust it. (Are you proud, Lou?) But t
  8. I'm in! I'm mad at myself that we didn't do a group picture. I didn't take a pic with any Fiends we met.
  9. Thanks for making me feel better! Ha ha ha! That's a funny idea. I don't know if we'll make a story up about it, but the picture alone is great. Son, we swear we weren't trying to drown you. LOL Thanks and you're probably right about waiting to embellish.
  10. We have come to the huge parenting fail. After the pirate adventure and a nap, we hit the pool. Things went well at first. Z is almost swimming and loves holding his breath. That last part comes in handy in a few minutes. Look, he even knows how to ham it up under water. At this point, he wanted to go down the big slide. Well, he got nervous so Jason rode down with him. Yep, that’s against the rules. Turn us in now. He loved it! And he was ready to ride down himself. This time, he wanted me to come with him. So, I gave the camera to Jason, told him to take a picture of his first
  11. Aren't they? The pictures really don't do them justice. Apparently they do the display every year. I had read about it the year before, but we didn't make it over there. There were way more, but I only took pictures of some. They had info about their weights, etc. Well, if she changes her mind, there were several pirate princesses there. I'm glad I'm showing you some new things! I didn't know that was possible. The pirate cruise is AWESOME. They really did all the details right, and the CMs doing it obviously loved the job. Their interaction with the kids was great. And it gives pare
  12. With a good plan, anything is possible. I bet Monday and Tuesday of that week aren't too bad. I wouldn't do a park on Thanksgiving day.
  13. I remember those pigs. I think I have a picture of little Kelly with them. I'll have to look next time I'm at my mom's. Love the Skyway shots! I loved the Tiki Room as a kid.
  14. Here they are returning. Do you notice how it looks like there are no kids on the boat? The CMs had them hide. When they pulled in, they told us that they had to trade the kids for the treasure. Then, they jumped up and screamed. The kids had a great time “tricking” us. They divided up the treasure. Which consisted of pirate trinkets like a patch, tattoos, gold coins, etc. Enjoying some of his loot. He really had a great time. Finding out exactly what happened from a 4 year old is kind of hard. He’s still talking about it and telling us different stuff. I know Zachary got t
  15. Monday morning, it was time for Z’s pirate adventure. And yes, we got to the Fort on Friday, it’s Monday, and we haven’t visited a park yet. That was Jason’s request. He wanted more relaxation and time to explore things we’d never seen. It was fun doing so! We took the boat and then the monorail over to the Grand Floridian. The pirate adventure is kids only for ages 4-12. (Z barely made the cut since he had turned 4 two days earlier.) It’s 2 hours and about $35. The kids ride around on a pirate ship, land various places, and follow clues to treasure. They give the kids a light lunch as well.
  16. We really did! Welcome aboard! You're a busy lady! Again, it was great to meet you guys.
