  1. Smart man. It would be hard for me to choose a favorite. I'm sure you have a regular grill though, so make that bruschetta burger! You won't be sorry.
  2. That's just wrong. They should get a popper. Hell, the March of Dimes walk I was at this morning had 2, and they were giving it away. It can't cost much.
  3. Those would be great for tailgating. I could use red and black sprinkles. Yum!
  4. Here you go, Dave. Interestingly, this is what we were going to have for dinner tonight, but I couldn't find one of those big roaster chickens. Now I'm worried about finding one for Stone Mountain. Maybe, I'll do a turkey instead (if I can find one in April/May). Better start looking for that now. I'd rather buy and freeze than not be able to find it. And in case anyone wants directions on this beauty, there are here http://www.fortfiends.net/forum/topic/8971-lets-make-a-bacon-weave-chicken/
  5. I like fancy seafood, but there is something about fish and chips that make me hungry every time!
  6. Now something you can't do on a regular grill, pulled pork. Set the egg around 230 degrees, and cook on indirect heat for 20-22 hours. The great thing about the egg vs. a traditional smoker is that you don't have to feed it with wood. You basically just leave it alone while it cooks.
  7. Let's start with something you can make on any grill. Bruschetta burger.... burger patty topped with fresh mozzarella, bruschetta (I used jarred, gasp), and reduced balsamic. It's super easy but a little fancier and much tastier than a regular burger.
  8. I've decided to create a post dedicated to our Big Green Egg, AKA the best anniversary present I ever bought myself. Jason thought it was for him, and I'm still wife of the year because of it. So here are some of our adventures. Most of these can be made on a regular grill.... they just won't taste as good.
  9. This reminds me of a trifle I make. YUM.
  10. I've never heard of a lyme vaccine. I know ticks are worse where my mom lives in South Jersey.
  11. That stinks about the GAG. And that person's awning. Glad it wasn't yours. We had to replace one once. They aren't cheap.
  12. I love how the characters walk around like they did at WDW when I was a kid. Hmmmm..... I have a friend who lives very close to DL and is always trying to get me to visit.
  13. Now THAT sounds like Limited Time Magic. What is an icon shift?
  14. I usually start planning about 11-12 months out. I'm a teacher, so I know then when my breaks will be. That said, my upcoming trip is for a conference and was just planned. In a way, it's kind of a bummer because a lot of the good ADR times are already taken, and I can't get into BOG at all. Luckily, we just ate there in April, but I'm used to getting online at the 180 mark and getting whatever I want.
  15. I'm excited that they are adding 10Ks. It challenges more than a 5K but is more doable than a half. The half I did almost killed me.
  16. I think your complaints are valid. Bringing in groceries is the only way to go. Excited to hear more and see your pics!
  17. I just made these with Z. It was pretty easy, and I already had all the ingredients. I'll report back on how they paint once they dry and we try them out. http://happyhooligans.ca/2012/03/07/homemade-watercolour-paints/ https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10200837822409368&l=969d293294
  18. Guess what I found out doing a little digging? You can request a microwave for your room! They aren't guaranteed, but you can make a request 7-10 days in advance.
  19. Did you ride BTMR? Since my July trip was only decided on recently, I can't get a BOG dinner ADR, so we're going to try for lunch. It looks yummy!
