We headed over to the Land Pavilion for the Behind the Seeds tour. We had a group of about 15, I think. I’m starting to forget details. Z was the only kid. Our guide made it a point to emphasize things that would interest him and keep him involved. Maybe I’m nerdy, OK I am, but I think it’s cool to go “backstage.” First you learn how they use good insects to combat bad insects. They have some tanks with examples, and you get a vile of lady bugs to release later. Notice the damage on the leaves. That’s from the larvae of the parasite they’re combating. Then yo

Saturday, our last day at the Poly…. What better way to kick it off than breakfast at `Ohana?!?!? Z is one of the few people who LOVE Lilo and Stitch. I mean, he really loves them. He knew we were eating with them and was a little impatient about waiting to the last day. We got up early, finished packing, and dropped our bags with the folks at the Magical Express. We left our carry-ons with the bellhops, and then we were off to breakfast. After a short wait, we were seated. Let’s start with the food. Just like dinner, breakfast begins with bread. Shortly after that, fruit and yogurt d

new smoking policy on Disney Cruise Line

THIS was your verandah?!?!?! What kind of fancy room was that? -
I've had good luck with the Canon underwater camera. Z dropped mine several times, but they are shock proof and nothing happened to it. I liked it so much that after several years of having it, I recently bought the new model. Z is trying to be on good behavior and earn my old one. He loves taking pictures. Jason does like snorkeling, so I'll make sure I show him those pictures when they come! Looks like a great first night!

It's official... we're going cruising!

Maybe if I let him know that the week before we're going to go the 7 night verandah cabin is $9200. Then he'll see were getting a deal! :rofl3: -

No, she lives back in NJ now. But like I said, the $200-300 for the verandah isn't a big deal. It's the $3000 RC vs. $5100 Disney he's going to freak about. Or $3000 vs. $4800 without a verandah. But that's why I'm also considering the 4 day Disney. It's about the same price as RC. -

Unfortunately our dates are not flexible. We're doing this as our spring break, and it's a set week. We're already locked into our June beach trip. That said, if he won't do the Disney cruise, it's good info for my mom and I in June 2015. :) -

The verandah is only like $200-300 more, so that's not really a big deal. If I need to get a verandah to be able to cruise, I can do that. I'm really hoping he'll agree to Disney. The fact that Z has been begging to go and that the kids' program is so awesome should help. Jason's just Disney-ed out. Can you believe that happens to some people? Weird. Secretly I know that if he chooses RC, I will end up booking a Disney cruise with my mom next year, so honestly, it would just be cheaper to choose it from the start. :rofl2: -

When you showed the Dwarfs, I thought you were joking about making them. You weren't!!!! -
It would actually be our 2nd cruise. Jason hated the first one. We were on Carnival, and it was Deaf Cruise 2006. We were one of few hearing couples on the boat. The night life was dead, and Jason found it too scheduled. I blame that and the Navy for it taking me this long to get him to do another one.

There are some important reasons we need a balcony. #1- Jason said we can go on a cruise IF we get a balcony. That right there seals it. We have only cruised once in 2006, and it's taken me that long to talk him into it again. #2- Z does nap and sometimes he just needs to go to bed, and it gives us a place to sit out and talk/enjoy the breeze, etc. #3- See #1. Jason was in the Navy. Maybe that's why cruising doesn't excite him. LOL! But that's also what scares me. Part of me thinks, he's leaning RC, let's just do it and maybe he'll love it and we can do Disney in a couple years. The other pa -
Loving these pictures because I finally talked Jason into a cruise! But he wants me to look at Royal Caribbean too. I'm using these pictures to work on him, so write quickly! Have you ever done a 7 night Disney? They're more than twice the price of a 4 night. I'm wondering why. Not sure we could afford it, but I'm worried 4 nights is not enough. I think I already said this but I love the lists of fun! I'm surprised they let you carry on glass beer bottles. They must trust you to be careful.
