  1. BOG FP+ is not tied to regular FP+. It usually opens about 30 days out but it's not consistent. Sometimes they open whole months at a time. Keep checking every few days.
  2. Let’s continue exploring the ship… Next we headed to the main dining room to check it out. Pictures don’t really do it justice… WOW, it’s elegant! Then, we decided to check out the promenade. Looking up at the elevators Light up bridge Champagne bar that serves wine and varies champagne cocktails You can see some rooms looking over the promenade. They’re a good option for budget conscience that still want a window. Those are the only inside rooms I’d really consider on Royal. They have a car outside the wine bar. Jason was impressed because it’s some kind of
  3. I'm not sure if they all have them. I would think they do. Yes, I'm surprised at the ages where kids are allowed to check themselves out. At 9 I think. And isn't a 9 year old technically old enough to enter Disney alone. Crazy. The only problem with that was that Z took his MB off when we were at Disney. What happens then? I'm not sure which I'd prefer. I don't want a Magic Band tan line. Oh yes they do! (As seen at the beginning of this TR.)
  4. How tall is he?And you know I'll write about it after... Ha ha ha
  5. But if you need 2 tents wouldn't renting a PUP be cheaper?
  6. Catching up on this report is on my "to do" list. I know you're worried about that, so I'm letting you know! ha ha Those trash cans are funny.
  7. Yay for old tickets! Capt Cook's YUM!!! Pink castle=yuck Love that your son likes roller coasters. Z can't wait to go upside down, so we're heading to Six Flags this summer. He's tall enough for the Mind Bender.
  8. Sooooooooooooo worth it for the size and view. The walk to the elevator isn't that far, and we needed to walk with all we were eating! Plus, with Windjammer, the specialty restaurants, Adventure Ocean, and the main dining room all being aft, we found the location to be great! Jason napped on it a few days. You notice everything. I'm not sure if the clothespins were from our steward or a prior guest. I guess they were used for drying things? For the kids club, they scanned our cards that were connected in the system and showed our pictures when we dropped off and picked up. He did hav
  9. Sorry I am just seeing this! I was on my cruise. You give Curt at Fort Camper Rental your info, and the camper arrives at the site before you just like magic! It's pretty cool. Feels crowded is a Josh from easywdw reference. I was hoping Lou would catch it since I know he secretly reads it. If I were going to pick between the HDDR and Dessert Party, I would choose HDDR hands down. Both are cool, but the HDDR is hysterical, and you can see the fireworks from anywhere. Katman has also done both... what would you say Jason?
  10. I like dressing up, but Jason doesn't. So, we compromised. We went all out one night, and the second night, I just let him look nice. I wore the same dress the 2nd night that I would have worn even if he'd worn his suit again. Z LOVED the attention he got when all dressed up.
  11. Sunday 3/30 continued Are you ready to see the beauty that is the balcony of cabin 7708 on the Freedom of the Seas? You might be disappointed because it’s considered an obstructed balcony. And there is what they call the super structure behind you. But let me tell you…. We loved it! Here it is…. After some rearranging View out the side Hi, Dream! HUGE balcony, right? We LOVED our obstructed view. We also enjoyed seeing out the back and side. We spent a lot of time out there. So much so that we decided we had to have the same cabin for the Thanksgiving 2015 cruise
  12. No extra charge for My Time. You can do one of the seatings or My Time in the Main Dining Room which is 5 stories. There are other dining options both free and pay that I'll cover. As far as I know Disney is the only one that has guest rotate dining rooms, most rotate menus. But Royal must like that idea because they're moving to a hybrid of that on their newest ship they're building. The servers are tipped through the standard daily tips. You can add additional if you wish.
  13. Get your mind out of the gutter. Thanks! We were too! From what I've read, Labadee has changed A LOT since back in the day. Of course, like any change, some people like them and some don't. With My Time Dining, you can still have the same servers, we did. You could also have the same tablemates potentially, for example some people just don't like the set times of 5:30 and 8:30, so they make a set time for 7:00. We ate alone. We don't get to do that enough at home, so I enjoy our conversations. We have plenty of other places to meet people. I think they should offer free founta
  14. As far as Royal, shorts are allowed at breakfast and lunch in the main dining room. At dinner, the only thing that is really banned are hats and shorts. Oh, and tanks on men (sorry Gator fans). However, we saw a few people in shorts at dinner. Capris are fine. I wore them several nights and many women did. Jeans are fine. Most guys were in polos/casual button down shirt and pants of some kind. Most women were generally in skirts or capris. We didn't even get that dressy at the 2nd formal night because Jason was being pissy (he hates dressing up). I wore a knee length black dress, and he an
  15. Housekeeping Well, before we see the ship, it’s occurred to me that I should give you some housekeeping details. First, we’re doing a Western Caribbean itinerary. That means we’ll be visiting Labadee (RCCL’s private peninsula in Haiti), Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel. Dining…. Jason and I chose “My Time Dining” for this cruise. One of the reasons that he hasn’t wanted to cruise in a long time is that he hates a schedule. My Time lets you make reservations at different times each night or just walk up when you want to eat in the main dining room. We did both, so keep reading to see how
  16. Yes, it was a rocky start, but here come some good parts! I'm finding that it's VERY common. LOL! Here come some ship pictures. This was our first trip, so we're doing good... right? Yes, he's excited to show his friends his wiggly teeth and has already told me the names of all the kids in the kindergarten class who have lost teeth. We go to the dentist tomorrow, so there's a small chance it might be soon.
  17. Hmmm... I'm glad our experience was much more pleasant. I do think Disney has influenced the industry. One example would be Royal partnering with DreamWorks and having characters and character breakfasts on the ships. Glad I didn't make you puke. That doesn't sound fun at all. I would take the Fort over a cruise any day. Too bad Jason doesn't feel the same way. OK, that sounds REALLY bad. That's funny! I also find it funny that Jason freaked so much since he did it himself at 3. Welcome! Now I love ice cream, but I wouldn't know teeth out for it. Ice cream di
  18. I don't think we'd do anything fancy, probably just replace what's there because it's cracked and change the maroon to red, so it's UGA colors. Yours is the Disney one, right? If so, it's really impressive.
  19. Yeah, sorry for sending that to you. Ha ha ha! I was in so much shock that I didn't think about how gross it was. The castle wins for me, but boarding the cruise was a great feeling! He bounced back pretty quickly. They did a great job with embarkation. We would have been on the ship at 11:00 without the short delay, and 11:15 wasn't bad at all. We were eating lunch shortly afterward. I'm not going to lie.... Jason totally flipped. He doesn't deal with that kind of stuff well. I was also freaked but more under control. The doctor calmed me down a lot. Maybe because of diffe
