  1. Monday 3/31 continued It’s formal night! We decided that we would take pictures and eat as a family, and then we’d change Z and take him to Adventure Ocean, so we could have some adult time. Check out my handsome guys! I’m a lucky woman. Z thought I looked like a princess, and Jason told him I was their princess. He’s been calling me that ever since. Pretty cute. Here’s the picture Z took of us. Pretty good for a 5 year old! And here’s all of us waiting on professional pictures. Buying the professional photo package was my anniversary present I asked for. I love pictures,
  2. Thanks! Well, thanks from Jason. You should! I'm already looking forward to November 2015. Mrs. TCD is a rebel! I think it's funny curlers and straighteners are allowed but not irons. What's the difference? Truth is, they'll never know. Blanket rules are just easy to enforce when needed. Ewwwwwwwww. I would have complained about that. Ha ha! That's true.
  3. I saw the display in person last year. I was very impressed. Amazing what they can do!
  4. Let's look at Jason's pictures! First, here are the missing napkin breakfast pictures. I never miss an opportunity to totally embarrass myself. Here's his wandering from the first night.... You can see the main pool bar on the lower level (We were in front of it for sail away.) The Sky Bar is above it. This is the Sky Bar. Those people are watching a basketball game. Empty splash park The bow Promenade Empty night club He did go to the casino! But didn't gamble.... Bolero's the Latin bar was one of our favorites. He went ther
  5. I agree. I think people ban them just because it's easy. I let my friend use hers in my RV, and there is no way in Hades I'd let anyone smoke in there.
  6. Yes, we had 2. One was on night 2 and the other was on night 5. Ha ha! I'm laughing about the gym comment. I like your idea better! Sorry, I forgot to mention room service drinks. They aren't covered. We handled that by one of us going with 2 cards to get 2 drinks. And there's something about that Miller Lite that's key... it's a screw top, and you can ask the right bartenders not to open them. We were able to keep a stash in the fridge. Thanks for looking that up! Ha ha ha! They couldn't. I'm guessing the blanket policy is to keep enforcement easier since a lot of peop
  7. We won't do Grayton for the same reason as Topsail. We were hoping DeSoto was far enough south to be warmer. It's only about 8.5 hours from us, so doable. We like St. Augustine, but that would be colder than Cocoa Beach where we just were. We did have a good beach day there though.
  8. Hey, I love those cowboy beans. Don't ruin them for me!
  9. It might be half and half. Maybe Gwen knows. I've also heard it's non-smoking on formal nights, but I can't confirm because we didn't go then. There were definitely a few times I walked through there and there were very few people and smokers. I'm guessing it's most crowded at night after dinner.
  10. I'm cracking up... carpet rakes?!?! Graceland looks cool. Kind of creepy that Lisa Marie still stays there though.
  11. I think it was late at night when I asked Jason to change the room for my cruise, and he answered back right away. LOL
  12. Monday 3/31 Since it was a sea day, and we didn’t have anything planned for the morning, I didn’t set an alarm. I also figured Z would wake up at about 5:00 AM, but he slept until 7:30. That’s right… he slept over 12 hours! Man, he was worn out. But he was ready to go that morning! We decided we’d get dressed, have breakfast in the main dining room, and then take Z to Adventure Ocean for about an hour to get him used to it. After that, we figured we’d hit the pool. They have these in the elevator. I thought I’d take a picture of it each day, but I didn’t. The main dining room has a me
  13. I think chair hogging is a problem on all ships. And at the Fort too! Hmmm.... There aren't any official secret items from my looking around, but they will sometimes bring you things that aren't on there by request (from what I've heard). The covered pools would encourage people to get up and dance, but I kind of like them open too. Z certainly did! I need to get Jason's camera tonight because I think that's where my missing pictures are. I bet you're right. The bummer about the casino on RCCL is that it's smoking, and it's the only place on the ship people can smoke inside. Theref
  14. I think that's about right. The burger was yummy! And I think that was it... he was just beat. Me too! Thanks! It was beautiful. Beers were around $5-8, and wine that I'll drink was about $9-12. Mixed drinks were $8-10. Couple that with my Diet Coke and bottled water, and I know we got our money's worth. He didn't go to the casino. Ha ha! We're not gamblers really. He was walking around with his nice camera taking ship pictures that I should steal and checking out different bars and entertainment venues. The fries were great, hot and crispy. Very true. The pa
  15. We need to do a fairly budget friendly Spring Break trip next year. Sadly, that means Disney and the Fort are out. (It hurts to even type that.) We love Topsail Hill, but it's not very warm there at the beginning of April. I would like to be near the beach and was thinking Fort Desoto. Any opinions on that or other ideas? While I'd love to do the Keys, gas would be $1000, so that's out too.
  16. So glad you got it! Lou tortured me that he's my boyfriend. Ha ha I can't wait to hear about your experience at the HDDR. You are going to write a trip report, right?
  17. Yep, it’s still Sunday 3/30 It’s time to sail away! The Freedom and all the RCCL ships with the DreamWorks Experience have the characters at the sail away party. Originally, we got a place in a middle a little way up. Bad picture showing them walking in flags And Alex from Madagascar joined them. See the hot tub? So did Z, and he decided that’s where we should watch the party. It’s his birthday, and it wasn’t crowded, so we did. They invited all the kids to come dance, but Z watched from the “hot pool.” Well, he mostly watched. LOL They brought our Shrek and Fio
  18. We really enjoyed it! Katman might remember more than me since I booked with him. I think I booked in the summer. But I could be totally off. Not-my-Jason, do you know? But that's NOT actually the cabin I booked at first. I did some research and found out about it much later. Much to my surprise, it was open!
  19. I really liked the touch screens. We only used them a couple times, but it was great when we needed it. We have all of it except the Flowrider locally. We were happy just relaxing. We don't get that a lot at home. But all the stuff is key for my last comment below. Nope, you still get them in your cabin too. Having both was great! You will! I've got a special tip for you coming when we order room service for the first time. Stay tuned. All of that is included. If you want special lessons on the Flowrider, that's extra. Glad you are enjoying it. We really did. How old
