Welcome! You can't swim at other resorts, but you can eat and walk around. There's a TON to do and see at the Fort though, so I'd hang there if it's your first trip.

Please know they're arguing with each other but still generally like each other. Ha ha! As far as strollers go, it's more fun to intentionally run into an inconsiderate, iPad wielding person blocking the ENTIRE narrow path a stream of people are trying to get to with a jogging stroller vs. an umbrella stroller. Truth. And for the record, I find strollers less of a problem than the families of 8 who have to walk side by side as. slow. as. possible.

Wow! We’re almost at 350 posts. I’ve hit the big time! Friday, April 4 continued We’re still at Xcaret. Another thing we wanted to revisit at this park was the bird exhibit. Xcaret breeds Macaws. Something kind of funny had happened when Jason and I visited on our honeymoon. We were looking at some of the birds and one of them just hopped down from his perch and started following Jason. He must have really liked him. There are also places to walk around in the lower part. It's big. As far as the money going towards a multi-day pass, I wish. I'm currently about 3 months into a 1 year ban from Disney. Wow! This is post 328! Friday, April 4th continued After our swim and snack, we headed out to see some other wildlife around the park. I’m not sure what this picture is of, but a lot of the park looks natural like this and is shaded. More flamingos, notice the cereal box snack that we brought from the ship. Well, I didn't drink it, but I think it was brackish. No snakes. I totally understand. My original idea for Cozumel was a beach day, and that will probably be what we do next time. With it being our anniversary and a chance to visit our honeymoon site, we splurged. Our other excursion was paid for by my mom, so this was the only one we bought. There are lots of cool beach places in Cozumel. I can totally see that. I love doing stuff on the ship and laid back beach days.

It's very nice. The ideal way to do it would be to stay in the local area. They even have a hotel somewhere next to it now. They have deals like buy a day, get a day free. That way you could really see it. We didn't even get to do half of what was offered, but we knew it would be like that before we did it. The night show is impressive, and by staying near there, you can see that too. Theoretically, you could travel there in an hour. The ferry was about 45 minutes, and the bus ride was about 15 minutes. In practice, it takes a lot longer when you are traveling with a group. Once we loaded t

Once arriving at Xcaret, our tour guide distributed our tickets which were in the form of bracelets that were scanned on entrance and exit. They took us to a map where he showed everyone what was in the park. They’ve added a good bit since we were here in 2003. Then, he suggested we all go to one of the underground rivers, so he could hold our cameras for us. They have a gear check station (like races if you’ve ever done one), but he suggested SLR cameras not be put in those bags because they had been damaged in the past. We had planned on renting a locker for it, so that saved us some cash.

Coke Light is their version of Diet Coke, but it tastes slightly different, sweeter I would say. It's possible that only true DC addicts would notice.
