  1. I knew this thread would get entertaining. Y'all don't disappoint.
  2. I almost vomited. Thanks for that.
  3. What a perfect Christmas!!!! BBB and CRT, your daughter must have been so excited! Love that you ended at the camp fire too. Great pictures! Yum, crab legs! So glad you saw your cousin, totally worth it. PS- I did a trip report for a conference. No excuses!
  4. Seriously?!?!? Most of my family lives in EHT now, but I still have an aunt in Margate. That's cool! Very true! Alright, we can go there AFTER the GG at Lanier. Traitor. Booze always helps. With this group, you better. Nice! Thanks kind of how we do our long trips too. Exactly! I know we will. Check out my signature and you can see my report with a million pics from last year. I'm sure I'll take more this year too! I also put a thread on here of sites at Topsail to help fiends who want to go there pick a site.
  5. What about once it's linked in MDE? Isn't there a record then?
  6. I agree; what we're doing now is the best of both, but when I win the lottery... Where at the shore? My family (everyone but me) is from Ventnor or Margate. Sorry if I've asked before. No visiting Ray until after the Lake Lanier GG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Not sure about that show, but I love the picture! Lifetime memories.... well worth the money. Plus, she'll see and appreciate things around her in a different way after traveling abroad.
  8. Double engines are a must. Did you see what's on those rentals? LOL And "look cool"? My husband demands all day BACON, that's a given. Wait a second. This was supposed to convince everyone to come to GEORGIA. We'll camp. And use our boat. Ray can bring his too.
  9. Lou, do you want to go to Biergarten next April? :rofl3: It's Dave's fault I have to eat there again, and he's refusing to pay.
  10. I don't know where that is, but I agree 1K is too much. Shore... you live in Jersey, right? Yes, before we bought our trailer and again before we bought the Class C, we toyed with getting a houseboat. I still want one, but there's a problem or 2. First, I like to go places, and the houseboat is trapped. Second, I can't currently afford a houseboat and an RV, so that settles it. Gas is another huge factor. At some point, I'd also consider a cruiser, but those things are even more expensive than a houseboat. There is a lot of money on Lake Lanier.
  11. Funny you mention a Gibson... that's the boat I have my eye on.... I've seen people buy older ones and totally redo the inside. They're pretty cool.
  12. What a cutie! I love the joy of kids at the beach. We have stayed at Ocean Lakes and Myrtle Beach Travel Park. Ocean Lakes was not our thing, way too many drunk teens driving golf carts and playing music super loud until midnight. Like imagine as many carts as you've ever seen at the Fort, all playing music and cruising. We enjoyed Myrtle Beach Travel Park much more. It seemed to have all the nice things about Ocean Lakes without the chaos. Honestly though, we're Gulf people. I much prefer the restaurants and laid back nature of the Florida panhandle. For us, it's about the same drive ei
  13. Actually, I underestimated apparently. http://www.houseboating.org/53-Foot-Deluxe-Houseboat
  14. Let's wrap up this mini report. We arrived at our marina. In this shot, you can see the dry dock building, store, and restaurant. You can also see a rental houseboat if you're looking for it. Here's some of the docks. There are days I sure wish I owned one of those. We made the choice to have an RV and tritoon instead though. But someday.... Heading over to the "poor" dock. Actually, a Searay over 40 feet parks 2 slips down, so not really. Our slip is the first one on the right of the covered portion. Then we were in the Jeep. Bye bye boat. We headed back to the RV.
  15. I thought you would like the dam. The weather Sunday was PERFECT! But really, the whole weather combo was great. We got to enjoy an almost empty lake Saturday and got to enjoy great weather Sunday. Winning! It was a beautiful day! And thank you. Ha ha! I did have a bathing suit on, but it's strapless. There is evidence of it in my cruise report, I'm sure. I believe the lake is actually a foot above full pool right now. However, I was one of those alarmists at one point. The lake was 20 feet below full pool then. The drought that lasted for several years coupled with high amoun
  16. OK, good point. We don't hop. For hoppers, a lunch at a resort would be a nice break.
  17. We LOVE the pizza at Via Napoli, and we all really enjoyed Biergarten. Narcoosee's at firework time was awesome. 'Ohana is great. With 2 people, it might be fun to do some of the lounges around that serve food. It could be potentially a pain to do lunches at resorts if you're going to be in the parks. Just a thought....
  18. Sunday Sunday was Mother’s Day! OMG, I got to sleep until 10AM! That was like heaven. I already knew what my “official” present was…. We’re going to Disney for Spring Break 2015, and I had paid the deposit. I also got some great cards from the men in my life. Since it was already pretty late in the morning, I decided we’d skip a big breakfast and just hit the lake. Z sits in weird positions. That picture reminds me… the flotation devices like he’s wearing are Coast Guard rated life jackets. They’re more comfortable than the regular ones, and I like that they force him into a better
  19. Better late than never! You might be right about those bottles too. Exactly. You're a good dad. There have been clues all along, but that one sealed it. Hmmmm..... good point! We had regular chocolate too. We aim to please! There, I fixed that for you.
  20. How could someone become addicted? Ha ha ha!
  21. Obviously, INC is the smarter of you two. But you get the peanut butter cups. :rofl3: Actually, he was amused that he could sit on the bottom, but it does look like that. He's more of a tree guy though. Now, I'm not saying he doesn't do that.... Salted caramel smore..... I need to try that! I'm going to have to add smores to the short list of things we disagree about. In the summer, it is packed. There's always an open dock though. People tie up all over the cove. It's pretty crazy to see. We only go down there a couple of times a year. It's a good place to
