Mission for today.... Avoid the Navy, I mean the sun and get Jason his Father's Day present. Fried mahi mahi sandwich They have gators there. Albino Ewwwww Then we went to Bass Pro to get Jason a present. But they had all kinds of stuff going on for kids. That's what we call free fun, well if you don't count the cart we got Jason. He's putting that together now.

Here's my suggestion.... Don't hop. We don't anymore and I don't miss it. 1 park a day with my son (who is 5) is perfect. You don't HAVE to. Use that $60 pp and go to the HDDR with your family. THAT will be something they remember.

Welcome!!! There is so much to do right at the Fort that getting tickets for only half your stay is great. Take the kids fishing, go to the pool, play games, relax, and go to the campfire with Chip n Dale.

Yes and I'm so excited for them! New camper and Father's Day too!!!

I'm loving the costumes. They're worth the cost of admission on their own.

More good news from Topsail! First, the Navy hasn't come to get me yet. Second, there is only 1 area of flooding left on the path to the beach. The water running down the beach has also dried up. It's a yellow flag day, and the water is beautiful! Dried flooding Ahhhhhh

We had a little success fishing today, caught a mackerel while trolling. We also saw a dolphin, sea turtle, tons of flying fish, and a crazy looking Navy ship. Turtle The Redneck Riviera We swam a bit at Shell Island. Our fish

It seems like doing it several nights would make sense though. Maybe this is just a test to see if enough people would actually pay for this event.

Sunny skies again today! We're on our way to a marina because our friends are taking us out on a fishing boat. The plan is to catch some fish and go to Shell Island near PCB.

It won't help when I tell you those shrimp are the size of the palm of my hand. It was soooooo good.

Highly recommended. Probably the best grouper we've ever eaten.

It's also great to make snow cones for the kids!

I can't wait to see it... Now I have to decide about Z. He's begging. He likes scary stuff but...

Some of our beach day fun.... I've never seen a kid who loves the beach as much as Z. We tried a new place called Crust for dinner. It's about a mile from the campground. Highly recommend. Picture by Z. Slap yo mama (my made up name) grouper with jumbo shrimp Sunday gravy Pepperoni pizza because Z really wanted it. Half the patio as we were leaving. It's a cool place. Kind of pricey but BYOB. We'll be back.
