  1. The selfies were a great way for me to remember what we did. And Z thinks they're fun. Beckers, I was a little (but not too) worried about the days it was just us, but it was SO MUCH FUN. It was great bonding time, and we laughed so much that day. I know he might not remember that day in the MK later in life, but I will remember it always. Really? I can't imagine it being more crowded! I really hope you get to finish your older report and start the 4th ASAP!
  2. They missed.... If you can't get an ADR you want, play with the numbers. We're usually a party of 3, but sometimes I can't get that but can get a party of 5. Then I just cancel 2 people a few days later.
  3. Why did you choose that particular one? Do you have issues storing it at campgrounds?
  4. $35 a day?!?! OMG! I think I forgot a my comments before that. Beautiful room! Or should I say rooms?
  5. Jason really wants a golf cart. One of the hold-ups (besides cash) on that is having a way to tow both it and our Jeep behind our Class C. I know some people use lifts and others use trailers. I'd love to hear from people that do this about the pros and cons of their method. Please also share the cost if you're comfortable with that.
  6. Does anyone have a recommendation for RV repair/maintenance in the North Atlanta Metro area? We have been very unimpressed with the Camping World in Gainesville (GA). They did great work repairing our slide when someone hit it, but haven't properly fixed 2 other issues we've had. Now, we need to get our generator serviced. We have some friends who use a place near Athens, but we'd rather not have to take it to a place 90 minutes away. Any good places along 400 or the Gainesville or Canton area?
  7. So while it wasn’t the best place to watch and it was very crowded, I’m glad we went inside to see the fireworks. It’s an awesome show, and like I said, Z was totally amazed. After the fireworks ended, it was gridlock. After trying to get through the crowd, I just pulled over and let it clear out a little. And then, we ducked into IASW at Z’s request. Look, some people really do use a FP for IASW! Yet another selfie. Z is rocking some great hair. After that, we decided to go cash in our FP+ for Splash. Now, if you’ve been paying attention, you might realize that at this point in
  8. Alright, so we headed back to the boat dock to ride over to the MK. They had a bar set up. I’ve never seen the beach this busy. It was insane. There was a decent size line for the boat. And guess who happened to be a couple of people away from me in line? TCD! We chatted, and I got the chance to meet his oldest DD and Twin #1. Once on the boat, I gave Z a little sugar. He’s in love with these Lego candies that he got at a birthday party. In this shot, he looks already sugared up. Once inside, I debated where to go. TCD said Main Street would probably be closed. I thought abo
  9. I should have taken more, but I did get some. We thought of you as we ate them. It wasn't a huge group, but it was a great group. The cinnamon rolls are good. So that selfie is a rare collector's item! I'm sure it will get broken out next time you talk about hippies. Yes, now keep in mind that was directly after the parade, so lots of people were in the area and trying to leave. I was glad to meet more Fiends and catch up with others I'd met before. All very cool people! Yes, it was crowded, but I'm used to that. I'll go to the Fort and Disney any time! We us
  10. Looks like a nice, relaxing trip! I love the activities some campgrounds offer, but sometimes just having good company and lots of food is AWESOME! It forces us to relax. Glad you got some hammock time.
  11. Stupid question, but can you tow a car when you have that lift? If so, what is it called?
  12. It would only be 4 1/2 in a car with no traffic, but we have to go thru Atlanta, so what are the chances of that?!?!
  13. We are! Heading out tomorrow, but we've had a great time.
  14. So good! All these slushy people are misguided. And you can have a beer anywhere.
  15. There is baked chicken that is very good. I had that as I'm not into all the different sausages. There's also salad. I was surprised that I liked the food. Do try a pretzel roll and potato dumpling though.
  16. It’s update time! And this update is going to include several Fiends! So the plan after the parade was to use our Splash FP+. We headed that way. It was CROWDED. I should mention something here. This is the very first time that I’ve ever been in a park on a major holiday. We often go the week of Easter, and we have been the week of New Years, but we have not actually been in a park during a holiday. Mr. GDF would never have approved of this, and actually I tend to try to avoid the most crowded parks, but I was making an exception here. There really is a difference though. It was packe
  17. It really is a good parade. I've never seen the garland, but I know it will be missed.
