  1. No jokes on our ride a few days ago but the bridge did wobble and we had to cross our fingers.
  2. This is our view as we entered the Odyssey Center Then we were ushered over to a table that had 4 people sitting behind it to help 4 different families (there were 5 or so tables set up with 4 people each). They were ready for the crowds but there weren't crowds when we were there. Here the kids are choosing their characters for their cards. Then they ask you to try them out as you leave so that it can record your fingerprint.
  3. We left the Fort this morning on our way to AK (yes Lou... it's 7:15 and we aren't in our beds) I really expected to see storm damage and there is none outside of the fort. I realize we have all those pine needles in the fort to get blown down and make it look worse but we haven't seen anything since leaving the fort that looks like a storm came thru here at all.
  4. I go to the photobucket site and find the picture I want to put into my post and I copy the HTML code and the I come back over to fort fiends and put that in the image box. Now that I'm forced to use the new photobucket this and just won't work. It gives me the red X in a box instead of the picture. Is there a different way to do it?
  5. Any notes on the using the new photobucket? What worked in the previous version isn't now.
  6. I agree, the staff was really showing up in force. I saw them on golf carts and bikes heading thru our loop every 20 minutes or so for a couple hours until everyone in our loop had a chance to get cleaned up
  7. I tried for 2 hours (in between rides and such) to get a snarky photo on here from my phone while in the park in response to a snarky remark from a cranky bus driver with no luck!!!
  8. Goodness NO! I took a picture of it for my trip report. We must have just missed you by the sounds of it. Bummer! Come back.
  9. My loop is filled with the sounds of brooms sweeping wet pavement.
  10. We were in our camper at 1450 today in site 1449 and there were some intense moments but nothing like tornados in Ohio. There were actually 2 tornado warnings and we didn't get the TV going until later than that. We don't use the TV so it took a while to get it running. I say Devores gets final say here since he's a "local."
  11. No I was comparing the 2 experiences making the assumption you were considering CRT only for the experience of being in the MK before it opens. I would chose Tusker over CRT in a heartbeat because if you get the 8am breakfast at CRT it's expensive for food that isn't as good as Tusker and you have to rush to get back out to have the "we're the only ones here experience" at the MK. Where as at AK you're not going for that experience so you eat at a normal pace and still walk onto the safari for one of the first trips of the day. Make sense?
  12. Tusker is the best food of all 3, and you have to eat fast to get back out in time for rope drop under the castle (I think they still actually have a rope there). It's a lot of $ to get the experience of being in before anyone else.
  13. It blew hard at times but nothing tornado like. I know they said on the news there were rotations somewhere, but not being from here I have no clue where. We use a pop up tent and it stayed in place but we did hear branches hit the top of the camper. It's still raining so we haven't gone out to inspect yet. We're in little bear.
  14. We switched them yesterday. The kids loved that they got to pick their character. We used them this morning at MK and they are slick as a whistle even with the kids having to give their fingerprint. If there is any drawback it's that 5 of those new cards take up more space in the wallet than the paper passes do. We still hold all our kids passes and we need to carry all their KTW's too (for EMH-although no one checked this morning) and that takes up a lot of space.
  15. Will do. I might even do some real time reporting if I get confident with my smart phone!
  16. Poor Lou, Fishing isn't any fun when nothing is biting. We have not received any official word, but we will be doing this in just a few days! You're more than welcome to come with us, we could make it into a celebration. But alas you have graduating girls that require your assistance and we will be TCD-less over spring break at the fort.
  17. Knowing our trip is just days away I'm torn when it comes to reading this report. Do I want to know what's up or experience it first hand and be surprised? Decisions, decisions.... Well, it's TCD. I guess I'm reading.

  19. I specifically asked for the activities planned for Easter Sunday. I didn't ask about Saturday.
  20. And if this proves to be false information, GaDawgFan....Kelly and I will make sure that our mini-fiends don't miss out on Easter egg hunting!
  21. I just called the fort, they haven't printed the schedule yet, but Here it is per Olympia (who spoke wonderful English and seem to actually know the campground so I trust she is right). 8:30-10:15 Pioneer Hall Morning Fun 8:00-9:00 Character Meet and Greet 8:00-9:00 Easter Crafts 9:00-Candy Scramble 10:00-11:00 Easter Games 11:30 Golden Easter Egg Hunt Poolside Activities 1:00-2:00 Easter Temp Tattoos 2:00-3:00 Easter Dance Party then normal fort activities from there.
  22. Poor Michigan----no Yuengling. Just another reason Ohio is better. We got hooked on Main Street with no people and ended up spending a ridiculous amount of money eating at the Crystal Palace multiple times in one trip. Don't make this mistake. Then we took a trip with 7am park openings that didn't allow for an 8am breakfast and we learned to love the Welcome Show with a granola bar. Of course now my kids sing Casey Jr at the drop of a hat, but no people between you and the castle is priceless!!!!
  23. We'd consider Gettysburg if we weren't already booked at our 2nd home for Easter. Still checking the Michigan GG dates against work and play schedules.
