If it is like Halloween this year. The Fort management had a site decorating contest The judging was from 6 till midnight . I think it was on the 30th. Then on the morning of the judging they sent everyone at the fort a hand delivered note saying that you must turn off your Halloween light display at 10 pm per the Quite rules. That upset a lot of the guests. So they are not decorating for Christmas this year. How do you have Site judging until midnight if your lights must be off at 10pm. It's like there is nobody in charge at the Fort that has any common sense at all. When we went to

Winterizing and battery disconnect
Pirate Jeff replied to Tankpilot's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
I drain mine then used compressed air blow it out then add the pink RV antifreeze I have the water heater bypass so I leave the drain on the water heater open. Remove the water filters add the antifreeze to the water pump winterize kit. mine takes 6 gallons. I pump the pink stuff threw the system until every thing comes out pink add some extra to the traps. 6 gallons seams like a lot of antifreeze but most of the antifreeze is in the washing machine and dishwasher Disconnect the batteries and hook up the battery float chargers to maintain the charge in the batteries so they wont freeze. Bag of ice now 3.25?
Pirate Jeff replied to Memphis's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
You can buy an ice maker for around $100.00. Mine makes 33lbs per day. I set it up when I use the pop up camper outside under the rear bed. just plug it in add water and you have cubes in no time. here is one from home depot http://www.homedepot.com/p/Magic-Chef-27-lb-Portable-Countertop-Ice-Maker-in-Silver-HNIM27SV/204351375?N=5yc1vZc3py -

Pressure Regulator Necessary at Fort
Pirate Jeff replied to CoachSeibert's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
l$49.99 at amazon The last time I checked the water pressure in the 700 loop it was over 90psi. My camper was ok but my drinking water hose had swollen to over 3" in diameter in the heat of the day. I had to go to wally world to get new hose and regulator. I found out those cheep ones suck, very little flow. I now have the Adjustable high flow valterra Get a high flow one unless you like Showers with little water flow. If you watch a gauge with the cheep ones it will read 40psi until you turn on the flow then will drop to less than 20 psi The good ones will maintain the higher pressu -

We will be coming home or just arrived home when your are headed down Remember don't rush the trip and enjoy the drive down and back. We usually make it a 2 day trip both ways. We stop at Exit 53 in South Carolina on the way down at the New Green acres Campground for the night. I can leave from Delaware just north of Wilmington at 8am in the morning and get set up there just before dark. It's an easy off and on 95. The sites are pull-thurs and long enough that you don't nee

Golf Cart Restrictions
Pirate Jeff replied to NobleCampers's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
my former cart was an ezgo with the box but i changed it for a rear seat with seat belts for the kids total cost for the seat kit was $350.00 and the seat belt kit with 2 seat belts was less than $25.00. The total time to change over was just over 1 1/2 hours from box to seat. The seat was a fold down style and the box fits on the folded over seat with 2 bolts to hold the box to the seat when I needed it. Now it only takes about 5 minutes to install the box . here is the seat i used. http://www.buggiesunlimited.com/golf-cart/flip-flop-seat-white-e-z-go-rxv-2008-up/17758 the seat belt were fr -

Going South We usually stop at exit 53 in South Carolina and stay at the new green acres rv park. Exit at 53 turn to the right and make next right it's about 1/4 mie to the enterance of the campground. The sites are pull thru and long enough that I dont have to unhook the toad. The campground is on par with south of the boarder. it's ok for the night but I wouldn't stay there for a week. We leave cecilton MD at 8am and pull in there around 6pm. The next day it just 5 1/2 to 6 hours to disney world. http://www.newgreenacres.com/ Going north we stop at south of the border. when are you going? We

Thanks for the report TCD. We had reservations for this week but had to cancel do to work getting in they way of our fun. With the lack of people in your photo's it looks like a good week to have been there. Now I'm depressed. I'll feel better soon since we have ressies for mid June right after school is out here. It will be a all Guy trip with my nephews in the pop-up. Might see you then. -
