TCD, Fun update! That mirror is pretty darn neat. We don't do character meets anymore, but we may have to make an exception! All the new additions to Fantasyland looked so nice and well done. Thanks for taking all the pictures to share with us! Heidi

Jason, So glad your back!!! Pictures are truly wonderful and are bringing back so many wonderful memories for me!! Although, the photo of the back side of the Lodge with the outside porch area over the parking, was NOT a good memory for me!!! When we were there, we bought some ice cream and went out there to sit, eat and relax. While sitting there, one of my teeth broke in half.............by eating ice cream..........I was like, what the heck! We werent even 1/2 way thru our trip and still had a lot of ground to cover. Luckily, after the nerves settled down near the tooth, it didnt bother me

Wow, all of that food looks GREAT!!!! You can tell how much fun the girls are having from all of the pics!! Ready for more!!!

I have a few photos of my boys standing under that elk horn arch. In fact my youngest thought those horns were so cool, he bought one in one of the gift shops!! We didnt spemd too much time at the Grand Tetons either. But we did visit the visitors center, which was hands down the nicest visitors center we have ever seen in any of the National Parks!!! We also did the float trip down the Snake River right next to the Tetons.....it was amazing!!! Great memory for me of you describing the Dinosaur National Monument........I went there with my family as a kid on one of our cross country adventures

Dave, I am so impressed that you planned all of this as a surprise for your family!!! That is awesome!! TCD's report has us considering a cruise as well!!! Heidi

Great trip report!! My boys are older than yours (19 and 16) but when we stay at the fort we LOVE having lots of fort time too!!! Over the years, my guys have spents hours and hours and hours on the tennis courts, so I loved reading/seeing pics of you guys using the courts!! We are also big bikers and LOVE to bike around the fort, we rarely have a golf cart, but thats mostly beecause we prefer to bike!!! Also noticed the swimming goggles........my guys have always worn goggles too!!! Thanks for bringing back some good memories for me!!! Heidi

Jason, I havent been able to get on-line for a few days. so just got caught up today!! Excellent trip report and I am really having so much fun reading it!!! I have to ask you.......when you planned this trip, did you have people tell you that you werent spending enough time at each place? We have done three western trips, and travel similiar to you and your wife (although on our trip a few weeks ago we did spend more time at each place) EVERYONE we would share our plans with would always discourage us......tell us we were doing to much driving...not spending enough time at each place etc. Ug

I am amazed that you were up next to the railing and didnt get wet!!!! We were in the middle section and we were getting wet there. I don't remember a breeze, but maybe there was one, sending the water back our way. All I could think of as we watched was , "those people up front must be getting soaked" I am glad that wasnt the case for you. Looking forward to your pictures. I wasnt able to get any good ones.

Hmm........I never thought about a person being inside Dumbo.........your probably right. I have to say it is one of the coolest things, I have ever seen in a Disney park. I remember the first time I saw Dumbo when we went to DL three years ago. We were actually leaving the park during the fireworks (we were all beat, as we had driven down from Sequoia National Park that day, and just went into Disneyland for a few hours.......we planned to watch the fireworks another night.) Just looking at all those pictures of you two with the characters is cheering me up today........I can almost feel your happiness coming through the screen!!

We watched the show last week.....it was awesome. How did you two go about seeing it? We ended up buying the World of Color picnic that came with the Fast Pass seating. If only you could sit and watch it.... As much as I loved the World of Color, my favorite nighttime show between WDW and DL is the Magical fireworks show. To see Tinkerbelle flying all around the castle (not the straight shot flight she does at WDW) was amazing, but what totally made that show my favorite was when Dumbo came flying out......I loved, loved, loved that part!!!!

I think it is called Garden Walk......we walked to that last week to eat at the Cheesecake Factory......so many great restaurants to choose from.
