  1. TCD, Sounds like another fun Disney day! I wish that I lived close enough to pop into Disney when I felt like it.........lucky you!!! When I looked at the pictures on the tombstone, I thought that your sister on the left looks a bit like twin #2. Hope you have another Disney trip planned.....I need another TCD trip report!!! Heidi
  2. We have had a REALLY warm winter up here too. Its been in the 60's all week, although today, I think we will only hit 50. Still, very, very warm for NH in March. However, because of the lack of natural snowfall and the warmth, I dont think my boys will be skiing into April like they normally do. Ready for those final thoughts and the new trip report too!! Heidi
  3. TCD, What a FUN leap day!!! You guys did great to stay until the end. I am not sure if I would have made it. Earlier in this trip report, I made a comment that I thought you were a great Dad (and Mrs. TCD a great Mom) to let the girls miss school to do this. Well, today I am sitting at Mount Sunapee, here in NH, while my youngest misses school to spend a day skiing. (my oldest is on Spring Break from college.) I have always figured, even before my cancer diagnosis, that life is short, and you need to grab fun moments when you can, even if that means missing some school for fun evey year!! I am
  4. We too, love to watch Modern Family. We even tape the shows and watch them when my oldest is home from college. Its the only show on TV that we make a point to watch as a family. Love the pictures of the twins with the princesses! Sounds like a fun night! Heidi
  5. Carol, I think that your husband should win a "husband of the year" award for making arrangements to extend your stay!!!! Wow!!! Great wedding photos! Heidi
  6. Stef, I agree with your comments about the guy with the green mohawk, I too, wonder when I see something like that, what do they do for a living!!! I mean you can't walk into a classroom to teach looking like that or go into a corporate office.....seems like your employment oppurtunities would be severly limited!!! Disney is the BEST place to people watch, you will never be disappointed thats for sure!! Heidi
  7. Yippee an update!!!! Can't wait to her what you all did next next!!! Heidi
  8. Me too!! I always thought they would have someone to fill in. Learn something new everyday!!
  9. Carol, I have just read the whole trip report. (Now I need to go clean the house!!!) Your pictures are amazing! I have two boys as well. They are 18 and a just turned 16 year old. I hope that as they grow they will continue to join us on vacation. Thats great that both of your boys made the trip as well as their girlfriends. Ready for more! Heidi
  10. Great trip report and awesome pictures. The pics of the castle are especially stunning! Heidi
  11. TCD, Wow, I don't look at the trip report section for a couple of days and when I do there is a TCD trip report that is already 5 pages long!!!! I am all caught up and enjoying your trip report as always! Your a good Dad (and Mrs. TCD, a good Mom!) to let the twins miss some school. We do that with our boys, but instead of missing school to go to Disney (I wish!) they miss school to go skiing! Looking forward to more! Heidi
  12. TCD, Good theory........and your probably right!!! I know what we saw though! Next time, I am in the Magic Kingdom, I'll ask the CM's about the "artisan watch artists" and then ask if they have an artist that appears to be a hippie!!! Heidi
  13. Thanks SO MUCH for posting these pictures!!! Those River Country photos brought back many happy memories! Thanks for sharing. Heidi
  14. TCD, I agree, very, very strange!! I couldnt believe it when I was looking at this thread yesterday and saw the picture of the "hippie". I had my youngest son, look at the picture and he said right away, "thats the guy, selling the watches on main Street last summer" I wonder if Disney has different rules for their "artisans" since they probably are not really cast members. I know a couple of years ago we were at the art store at the Marketplace/Downtown Disney and Larry Dotson, who does drawings for Disney was there, signing his pictures. I bought two, one of Everest and one of Spaceship Eart
  15. dvccamper, What cool pictures!! Brings back some great memories!!! The cabins have certainly come a longggggg way! I stayed in one back in 1983, but I really couldnt remember what they were like. It was great to see your pics! Its amazing the amount of bushes/trees that they used to have aorund the cabins. You can barely see it, but if you look over the guys head in the boat (the pic of Bobs dock) you can see a couple totem pools. They were smaller than the other ones around the fort, but I always took a picture of my boys there every year, until they disappeared. I am looking forward to more.
  16. I havent found out anything about the hippie, but I did find out that Disney does have an "Artisan Watch Program"' Disneyland has five artisan watch artists. I can't seem to find a list for the Disney World watch artists. Can it be that our hippie is an artist for Disney??
  17. I have something to add about the strange looking hippie. I know this sounds CRAZY, but when we were at Disney in August, I was walking through the shops on Main Street. I stopped in that "art" type store, on the right if your going to the castle. That man was standing behind the counter with a display of Disney watches. He was wearing a cast member name tag. I could NOT believe that Disney would let an artist in the Magic Kingdom look like that!!!! There were other cast members behind the counter and they were not acting like anything was amiss. He was dressed exactly like the picture that so
  18. Thanks to Stef, TCD and Nicki for the good wishes!!! very much appreciated!! Heidi
  19. Holly, All caught up!! A wonderful trip report for sure!! We may be at Disney this Christmas, and those crowds are scaring me already!!! Maddie, is soooooooo cute!!! Heidi
  20. Thanks Stef, I wish that i could have been there too!!! Things are going very well......finished chemo last week and am ready to put this whole ordeal behind me!!! Looking forward to the next report!!! Heidi
  21. Steph, Another GREAT trip report!!!!! Thanks for sharing.......I felt like I as right there with you!! Heidi
  22. TCD, How cool that twin #2 was selected as the rebel spy again!!! You are a good Dad to buy both girls a Vinylmation. My boys, despite being mid to late teens like them too! Heck, I do too! I bought two in August that I put away for Christmas morning. (Its always nice to open a piece of Disney on Christmas!) We have quite a collection lined up and displayed in our living room. I am glad to see that the fort is participating in the dining program. A few years ago, I assumed that they took the snack credits and they were not so it threw off our game plan for a second. We had spent a week at the
  23. TCD, Ok, I am all caught up. That is quite the impressive looking college!!! My oldest is a freshmen at the University of New Hampshire........tuition/room & board is a little over 25,000.........lets just say that UNH looks NOTHING like UCF........NOTHING!!!!!! We also used to do the mad dash at rope drop to Dumbo.......good times!!!! When we don't stay at the fort, we usually stay at the All Star Music. We have stayed in every section, except the County Fair. It always seems to far away for me. Looking forward to more. Heidi
