Thanks Stef, This has been a fun TR. Learned what mudding is and didn't even get wet :jumpforjoy Seems to be a perfect sport for a hot Florida day. The little blue truck looks like it would be in over it's roof...comparing it to Nate's Bronco. Is it harder to go slowly thru the mud pond than to have the power to blast your way thru?

My Daddy was famous, at least in the family, of showing slides from our trips, so I've been trained to look at other people's photos and I love it. Thanks Daddy! Great to see you made it to California Adventure! My DH was still working at WDW in 2001 when CA opened and had , over the years, volunteered to 'work' press events. So when CA was due to open he was one of the lucky cast members from Florida who were sent to California for a WHOLE MONTH to help with their press event. I was able to join him for one of the weeks...felt myself getting sick while waiting at the Orlando airport ...so

I'm in..not the mud :) but enjoying your TR and admiring the totally mud covered truck. Nice even job on the side we see.

I do! It was there until the year of the hurricanes. This checkpoint was severely damaged in 2004 with the help of Charlie and the girls, Frances and Jeanne. What was left was removed soon after. EEK gotta agree with Lou, would be nice if the road was restriped.

Oh Monique, what a terrible experience. Was reading along thinking this just happened and came to the August 1 post. THEN I noticed 2011. So glad you and your loved ones were OK. I'm a firm believer in seat belts. Wonderful invention! I've been hooking our dogs, 11# poms, in their harnesses with the back seat belts. But you are right, it gives them too much move around room and in an accident they could be hurt. So will be shopping for a crate and will use seat belt to secure that. Problem will be, mil and her 12# poodle who live with us. She just lets her dog have the run of the vehi

OK next time pack the waxpaper (for the slide) won't cool slide but boy will make ride down quicker. But NO BARE SKIN on slide!! The mister set up is cool.. and cooling :)

Rita, Bojangles fast food also has country ham bisquits, and they are GOOD! Only trouble..not many of them in Florida. I've been buying from one on RT. 436 in Altamonte. There is another one being built in/near Winter Garden on RT. 535. That would be the easiest one to get to from the fort. Maybe it's finished, haven't been by that way for weeks. LOVE the "You are not the boss of me " shirt. My mil is now living with us. I asked her if she would like to go camping, she has never been camping, did not get a 'no'...so we will try soon...might wait for some cooler days. I'm going to try t
