  1. Wow miss reading for a few days and it takes a while to catch up. But I'm up to date now. It's too bad about the Poly beach, I loved their beach for fireworks viewing. And the lobby area with plants and waterfall was special to the Poly. I had real haggis in Inverness, Scotland on a vacation with my DH in 2002. It had a very liver flavor to it. Fortunately I like liver. Dh refused to even try a taste. Haggis could be like coleslaw or potato salad, every cook has a little different method/recipe. Some taste better than others. Great score on the furniture! Good going girls. Good D
  2. They need bigger sizes and more cat colors. Says one of our favorite characters
  3. Disney is selling an adorable hat and mitten thing for little girls. It's of Marie, a little white cat hat that fits over head and ears with two long 'arms' that end in muffs/mittens. It's very cute, saw several little girls wearing them. Could have used one myself, but just wouldn't fit. I know for sure, 'cause I tried one on.
  4. Pay me the $2000 and I'll go pick it up and deliver.
  5. HOLY COW! And quickly put out by Reedy Creek fire dept. Bet this is why fireworks are staggered at Disney, just in case of accidents. Glad no one hurt and ride is back in action!
  6. Maybe she wants to be a football player  you know, they like to adjust things
  7. Last night we were asked if we were staying over. DH was told OK to drop stuff at Carol's camp site but go park at River Walk. So he dropped stuff, including me, and headed out. BUT there were empty spots on the pavement and lots of grass available outside, so guess where he parked?
  8. Then there is the kid, about 3 years old, who walked too close to a German Shepherd's food bowl. Bite on face! Mom of little girl not happy, but did not make a big deal of that encounter. Didn't stop kid from approaching unknown dogs. Little kid was me 70 years ago and I grew up loving dogs and cats and eventually became a groomer. Mommy got me my first cat when I was 7. I have had 19 cats, so far. And 5 dogs.
  9. AW Lou, I know you will miss little Luna, but so happy for her to be going to her forever home. It seemed she and the other 4-footers in your domain got along well. I hope we see pics of her first experience with snow!
  10. Plus the fact, that if you need to make a restroom stop during the night, it's nice to have light to find your way home. I like the idea of soft lights, especially the non-bug attracting kind.
  11. I can understand leaving the bright lights on if you will be late coming back from the parks, but not all night. Unless, you are like me and you just forget to turn them off..
  12. Yep, I knew it was vegetarian offering at the Scotland kiosk and wondered how it would taste. As I said, it tasted really good and so did the companion vegies. Whitney, do you know why it is called a haggis? Is that a Scottish style of a hash and is made in various fashions? I always thought the haggis is made with the innards of sheep plus other things, maybe grains? I asked at the cash register and was told it is full of grains.
  13. Over at Epcot today. Tried the haggis from Scotland. It tasted nothing like haggis. No liver or other innards flavoring the pattie. BUT it was good, so were the neeps and tatties. The turnips are coarsely mashed and have a sweet flavor, the tatties were very smoothly mashed. Served hot. Next tried the trout from Canada, that was good too. Walked by the sorry log men show. DH tried the dessert trio and from Canada the steak and mushrooms. I got a sample of the 'shrooms, good!
  14. By: Alexandra Blazevich 7) The location: Walt Disney world resort is located in the heart of Florida: Orlando. Actually, the address is Lake Buena Vista, FL 6) The environment: Walt Disney world has earned the nickname of being the “Happiest Place on Earth.” As far as working environments go, that sounds pretty hard to beat. The upscale, high-energy, theme park setting is wonderful for any employee. One of my personal favorite parts of working here is the fact that everyday will be new and another exciting experience with a whole new group of people… which brings me to the next point.
  15. Nice Marty, I think I would put the access door in one of the long sides towards an end. That way if it's windy the cat/s can curl up on other end and stay warm and dry, if rain blowing.
  16. As for the hat, I wouldn't mind if it was moved to another location. When it was first built I hoped for another ride, not another pin/gift shop. Also, at Christmas time, a model train display was built in the landscaped area in front of the theater. I missed that after the hat.
