  1. They remind me of black eyed peas and yes the peanuts are boiled with all kinds of flavors. Some times of the year we can buy green, uncooked, peanuts in the grocery store. My neighbor use to have them once in a while. She also makes the best collards!! Gwen...I love country ham, first had it in Virginia. Won't buy the whole ham any more because of this low salt diet....crap At Christmas time I get a steak and the DH and I share. Also the country hams are available during Christmas season but are hard to find rest of the year. Remember going to a store in Winston-Salem area and there
  2. How about boiled peanuts? Usually see someone sitting by the side of the road selling them. Never had them till moving to Florida, I like them. Husband does not
  3. Being in a small hybrid I have come up with a few ideas, one of my favorite was taken from a hint list for cruising. The walls of a cruise ship are metal and magnets work wonderfully there. I used magnetic hooks to hold up a shoe bag, the kind with 12 divided slots. Was great on the ship and when we headed out on this last camping trip I used the over the door hooks that came with it to hang it from the bathroom door. Yes, shoes did go in it, but also shampoo, and spray bottles for cleaning, pocket books, my phone charged in it just fine overnight, even had a few empty pockets. I have
  4. Congratulations on your new to you pup. My vote goes for the gizmos also, they work great in hot weather! But in cold temps they also keep the tent ends dry inside from all that condensation of our breathing.
  5. WOW talk about good luck, someone had an eye on your family. Camp looks neat, lots of green.
  6. The crazy locals who are cast or retired cast are blocked out of Epcot and MK. So that should give a hint as to how full those parks already are. WDW doesn't need us Elbow to elbow but the fireworks in both parks is spectacular! The Fort beach should have a great view of the MK fireworks.
  7. Yeah RED tell us about that pretty hair. I heard the story and think she is very clever.
  8. Good! Gotta hear from Chris too :) These two ladies are so generous, hard to remember all the gifts and gadgets they showed up with. Gwen, I shared the cookies with friends who also like ginger. Was too temping to keep all of them, they are like potato chips, can't eat just one! Speaking of gifts we also received hair clips with flowers on them, a fancy mason jar decorated with our names and a top with holes in it and a cool straw that won't fall out, even if it is tipped over, those by Mo, if my memory is working. Chris brought bracelets that you can use to escape a dangerous situatio
  9. YEP- though the humidity is good for the plant life and human skin.
  10. I was one of the 'kids' who loved to spin the tea cups, then age caught up with me. RATS! Even rides like spinning swings make my head not happy And it was ALWAYS more fun to spin someone who didn't want to be spun or spin with another crazy spinner to see how fast you could get it going. So spinning alone doesn't cut it.
  11. Welcome to the fiends connorsmom! Someone will be along soon to share the knowledge you need. Some of the cabins have ramps, just in case you need that.
  12. oops Yvonne, is that the voice of experience? Thanks to Travisma for the info.
  13. Not many spring days this year, enjoyed what we had though. I didn't move to Fla for the weather, as I like cold and snow!! Wanted to work at the mouse. and I did :D
  14. We all, especially Gwen, were more worried about Chris than Chris was. Chris took it in stride. Very glad she got through that without major problems. Like hospital! Chris and Gwen sure look like sisters, don't they?
  15. 1- If any of you like to go to farmers Markets, the Winter Garden one on Saturday mornings, 8 or 9 am to 1-2pm I usually go early to get a parking place without searching for one. Lots of parking on both sides of market. This FM has lots of things to look at and buy. But 90% of my time I only go to buy fruit and vegies from Sally's Tomatoes. It's the smaller stand run by an older couple (about my age). They are very careful how they treat the food before selling it to you, aka strawberries do not sit well in the sun and things like that. John is a fount of knowledge about the food they
  16. Mo, the weekend before WWW was hot and after is hot. We were blessed by the most beautiful Florida weather on the chosen weekend.
