  1. I remember visiting Marty several years ago when she had her kids camping at the fort. The mosquitos at her campsite were awful. It must have been a rainy time of year. Wonder what WDW will do to prevent that problem. And if they are able to prevent it now, it will be much nicer camping in the future for everyone.
  2. Too true. When I've been places where the water is soft, it takes longer to rinse the soap off. But that might just be it feels like it's still soapy.
  3. Lacey died Friday. I miss her so much, it's hard to even write about her. She was such a good dog, so happy and loved traveling. When we would be getting the hybrid or now the trailer ready to go, Lacey would be ..."But I'm not dressed yet! You aren't going without ME are you?".. as soon as her traveling harness was put on the floor for her to step into, she was ready. My angel dog. Lucky is acting different and wondering where his buddy has gone. He was in the room when she died so he should know, but I always wonder. This litt
  4. I agree. When we were on a cruise the soap provided by the ship rinsed off quickly. I wonder if something like that is available to the general public?
  5. Agree! These are so cute and look like a lot of work to me. Nice there are people like you with the patience to create them.
  6. Went well. We had an electric/water site and Saturday night just after I finished my shower (yay I can use the shower in the camper) Bill informs me he heard gurgling in the kitchen sink. So we need to learn to conserve water use more, but did OK. The site, #124, was on the end on the row and we got to watch all kinds of campers, big and little coming and going. We forgot the white water hoses so had to venture out for that and the one at Wallyworld was $10, then come to find out the water hook-up was over by the next camp site and the hose wouldn't reach that far. So Bill heads out to th
  7. So sad to hear about so many pets crossing over the bridge. You all have my sympathy and I hope the hurting hearts heal. Our two poms took to camping so easily in their old age, thought I would lose Lacey this past weekend, but she rallied and is still with us. Not going gang busters but has her smile back. Lacey was 13 last April and Lucky was 15 July 4.
  8. I like the way the tent bottom works. Might just keep Sir Lucky, my escape artist inside the tent.
  9. I'm glad you are being proactive about your health. Being sick on vacation is not fun!
  10. Don't most of the hoses have the end cut off? You know, to make it less attractive to being stolen. I too am wondering, what is a slicker?
  11. Thanks Mo. Our first trip was to Jetty Park and no problems so far. But weather hot and no rain Got to see a rocket take off about 1am one night. Very cool and with a full moon too. At least it looked full to me This was second time we camped at JP and unexpectedly got to watch a rocket take off. I love night take offs. Oh rats! Bill would have loved that, until he paid for the first gas tank fill.
  12. Thanks fiends. It's a lot fancier than what I'm use to, but guess my body will like it better. Pick up tomorrow and Bill booked a stay for 4 days next week at Jetty Park for our shake down cruise.
  13. Thanks Arthur, We like having the truck available to go places after we set up camp, That's why we don't look at motor homes. WE BOUGHT THE DENALI TODAY!!! Picking up Wednesday. where is that dancing banana when I need him ?
  14. We are headed to General RV today to look again at the Denali. Really liked the salesman there and the layout of the Denali. Will let you know how it goes. And yes, I am thinking about WWW, should be able to sleep 3-4. I will make them set up the dinette to see how it sleeps and how many humans it will hold.

  16. Gwen, we don't want the motor home because of the need to pull a car, rent a car, have friends/relatives haul us around or use the MH to get around town. At least that is our reasoning and it seems more like 'camping' with the smaller trailer. That was the biggest reason I like hybrids, the tent ends. But still having the blessing of a bathroom inside. "So Lazy Days no longer carries Airstream? That's hard to imagine" They still have a huge inventory and two of them I love. A Winnie trailer and a Grand Design. They are beautiful and the steps into the GD are so different a
  17. OK This last trip with the hybrid, that I love, has taught Bill and me that setting up and taking down has become too much like work. It's not fun anymore. Old bodies will do that, I guess...get tired. So with that said, we have been looking at trailers at several different dealers, starting while we were still in PA. We have come up with a list of what we want/like and have our eyes on a Denali Lite 2371RB. We have seen so many and I've fallen in love with a couple of them, but this one seems to fit our list pretty well. Big Problem. One of the salesmen at Lazydays RV near Tampa, tol
