  1. The year of the hurricanes really damaged the tree houses, they took years to reopen them.
  2. Sorry we didn't get to meet up one more time Gwen. Think you and David are smart to take the route you have, you will avoid a lot of evacuation traffic that way. I enjoy your TRs with so many photos. Be safe.
  3. The only day cast and retired cast were blocked this summer was July 4 in the MK. Last summer was blocked most of the time in MK. But of course there was the new Fantasy Land to see. We weren't even blocked at Epcot for July 4, first time I remember being able to see their fireworks. BTW they were great. I have a friend who takes his grandson to the parks a lot and he says the crowds are light.
  4. This is what I was thinking to Jennifer, but wasn't sure of their eyes opened automatically if they died while asleep. Lacy's were open also, but she was awake when she died.
  5. Gwen! all your photos are wonderful but the rainbow and now the tiger WOW just WOW!
  6. Or sun themselves on said large rocks on a cool (doesn't happen often) day in winter.
  7. Next time Florida is in a drought we should take a collection and have Gwen visit the fort.
  8. Sure do and my oldest godson and his wife love dressing up and doing dapper day.
  9. If they are sending buses to the other parks what is the reasoning not to have a MK bus, I wonder?
  10. Yes! Thank you so much. Betty and Chet were our neighbors and friends. Wonderful people, very sharing and helpful. Chet never bragged about his work building MK. He did sand our wood floor we put in our trailer, because he wanted it done right! My dog Oly LOVED him. She would whimper and 'talk' to him from several homes away whenever she saw Chet in his yard. All the dogs, cats and neighborhood children loved Chet. He was a dog/kid magnet.
  11. You can tell she was loved by the photo, Sushi is wearing a comfortable harness, her hair is combed and she has bling hanging on her collar. It's so hard to loose them. My Lacey had high blood pressure that caused her to cough. For what it's worth, when her time to pass came, she laid at my feet and coughed a few times, her heart kept beating, she stopped breathing and then her heart stopped. She didn't gasp or struggle. Your Sushi was in her kennel, her safe place, she probably went to sleep peacefully. I'm sorry for all the loses in your family, so hard.
  12. I knew some fiend would be along to answer your questions, good job PghBob. Heed the advice to carry flash lights with you. Oh yes, welcome to the fiends!
  13. I'm in and taking notes. Would love to see the west.
  14. Splitting a D-Luxe burger sounds like a good idea. How did you like Sweet Tomatoes? I hope tonight is cool for you and the rest of the fort.
  15. Bet it would take a pretty stiff breeze to blow that off his head.
  16. We had the same problem last year with our Garmin GPS to the same camp ground. Took us so far out of the direct way in, very annoying. Though we only had the small hybrid then, still annoying. You will be glad to know the roads were being paved this summer, both the quick way and the scenic route. Much nicer on the finished part. Hopefully all done by now. BTW Bull Run is a very nice camp ground.
  17. Speaking of rain, the TV is blocked by clouds just now and the thunder is getting closer.
  18. Nicole, we seldom have totally rainy, grey skies days here. Only if a hurricane or tropical storm is in the area, like last Tuesday. Don't let the reports worry you. Come on down and enjoy. BTW remember the 80s I hoped for earlier today? Well started out like that, but this afternoon was, as Gwen puts it, hot hot hot
