  1. Welcome back memouse, Sorry about your older son no longer being with you on earth. Glad you are coming back to the fort. There are other fort fiend families with children in wheel chairs.
  2. The Perkins Restaurant is our go to place for breakfast and also for a quick, not expensive dinner. They make the best pancakes. Dinners are more homelike food and affordable. So many people will be out of work, I hope this can be worked out in everyone's best interest. There is also the Sweet Tomatoes Restaurant that I enjoy. So many places in there. That Goodings has always been overpriced, even when there was another one a few miles down the road. The Crossroads one was always higher for the same goods.
  3. Very clever RoguePony, even have Carol's little camper before she got all the Mickeys on it. Did you do the decorating on the RVs and the golf carts?
  4. Edited to add another thought. These arsonists should also be charged with any/all of the deaths that have happened. Here is a report from the Knoxville News Sentinel; http://www.knoxnews.com/story/news/local/tennessee/2016/12/01/cades-coves-reopens-following-gatlinburg-wildfire/94727664/
  5. Good for Dolly and a way for others to join her in helping those poor people.
  6. Love the sunset photos, learning about the nursery rocks and the bus, very cool looking. WOW!!!! What a stash until you scroll down far enough
  7. Good job, your son will love that. I'm happy to hear the gardens are still looking good, they were my favorite. Is the boat ride a thing of the past?
  8. Roberta, sorry to hear about your son's health, but good for you and him to get back to camping. There will soon be other fiends along with the info you need about certain camp sites. All I can recommend is to let Disney know what your family needs in the way of a camp site.
  9. Do any of you remember the store in the Village that made all day suckers? It was fun standing outside the window and seeing them being made. I know, not candy canes, but same type of process I imagine.
  10. Thanks for all the good info, enjoying the trip. That baby carrier is a good idea.
  11. I'm in! What a cute boy you have, love that you do hikes with him at his young age. This camp site looks very nice with the fire pit. I took a week trip to VA in the middle of October, planning to enjoy cool weather and pretty leaves. What a surprise, the sides of the Blue Ridge were still green. Though I was lucky enough to see quite a few tees that were in the process of turning colors.
  12. Yay! Mo! A finished TR. < insert a dancing banana or two here> The black beer at the Brazil site was good. To me it had a very coffee taste, I liked it. Need to try the lemon beer, sounds good. As I'm reading your answers to fellow fiends I come across this, . "THanks Dave (although there's a plague of locusts in my yard now...) I have to say both times I had them they were fantastic and cooked perfectly. " Being lazy and not reading Dave's post you were commenting on I saw ' Plague of locusts and they were fantastic and cooked perfectly' I know the F&W has
  13. With a tent you should be able to set up close enough to plug in without a problem. Towel and soap?
  14. I've been known to mail a box of 'valuable' stuff home so I didn't have to carry it with me.
  15. That's nice, each group gets special attention that way.
  16. I love the photos of your boys, especially how loving they are with each other. No doubt they have their moments.... Good price for the boat trip, was it just your family on it that day?
