Being able to see the MK fireworks on the 3rd is a treat.

Very nice! Thanks. We were in Epcot and could see some of the high fireworks from the MK. We love Epcot because that is where the WWIII barge is located now. Love the BOOMBOOMBOOMBOOMS of it. You can feel the sound all thru your body. During the last booms the sky is full of little red and white explosions. To me it looked like the area over the lake was filled with confetti.

Cool. I know these will be Christmas gifts or maybe even a birthday in August. -
Fort camping in June?
fladogfan aka Gretchen replied to zannatista's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
Yes, usually. But we are in drought conditions and have been told not to count on showers too soon. Hoping weather guys are wrong and the rains start soon. If the storms happen too early in the afternoon it feels like a sauna when they stop. However, when the rains come late in the day it sure cools things down. -

Oh heavens no TCD. I only meant if you are already on a Publix trip it's easy to pick up a meal or snack. -

Yep Big Tom, that is another way to get there and out. I recommend the fried chicken tenders at Publix, their fried chicken is pretty good too. I know, I know, get the GAG, but if you are gong to Publix anyway and want chicken for dinner..... -

I agree with Grumpy, that is the easiest Publix to get to, less traffic. You do need to make a U-turn at the intersection just past the Mickey D's, which is also on the left. Oh yes and WELCOME. -

Taking a cool shower before sleep helps to cool your body and staying a little damp does too. Just the opposite for cold weather when a hot shower helps to stay warm. Have fun. -
Anchors Away! The TCD Gang Has Another Dream (cruise)
fladogfan aka Gretchen replied to Tri-Circle-D's topic in Trip Reports
Going on a 3 night Disney cruise, leaving tomorrow. So knew I had to do a re-read of this trip report. Will be with 6 of DH's cousins, who are getting out of PA just before all the snow is due to dump on them. Thanks TCD for all the great ideas and interesting places to go and things to do. -

What a great idea. Wonder if other WDW resorts use them too? -

I've seen all sizes of companion dogs in the parks, from big GSD size to the 4# sizes. Most of them are wearing jackets stating they are a working dog. I think as we see more and more dogs as helpers the questions will be less and we will learn not to pet them. Can't remember if I mentioned this before. At Epcot a few months ago I saw several dogs and a PONY! yes a pony, at the water splash area on the bridge. They were in training to be assistant animals, getting use to crowds and weird things...the splash thing. -
Disappointed..

Everyone going into Universal Orlando goes through a metal detector. AK was using them last week also. Unfortunately, it's the world we live in now.
