  1. Look at that! My own mini-hijack!! This is how I felt when I first got tagged. :rofl3:
  2. EE is fun. We rode it again later in the trip and it didn't bother nearly as much as the first time. Maybe I'm getting used to it. I have a picture coming up that shows my Merida hair. And EE is fun once I get over the wobbly legs.
  3. Tuesday was Animal Kingdom day! Since 2008, whenever we talked about Disney, Wil would talk about Expedition Everest and how much he loved it. Ali was too little in 2008 to ride so this would be her chance. I "reservated" Tusker House at 8:05 since the park opened at 9. I figured that way we would be able to get on EE and the Safari before it got too crowded. I'm going to take a minute to say that throughout our trip, we hit very minimal crowds. In fact, out of 7 days in the parks, we only used fast passes twice. Like for 2 rides, not two days. For most rides, the stand by line would say 20
  4. Yeah, several times during our trip Wil hugged me and thanked me for planning this trip. Made it all worth it! Thank you! O'hana is definitely on our must do again list! That was an awesome dining experience. Isn't it cute?! I use it all the time now. LOL! We love AK too. They're actually better when we're not at home. Wil is usually very considerate and sweet to Ali when we're in different surroundings. He's a good big brother. What the heck are Saturns made out of if a magnet won't stick? Thank you! More coming right up!
  5. We left of on our way to O'hana. We grabbed a monorail over to the Poly. The lobby was super crowded. There was no where to sit upstairs so we checked in and then headed downstairs to chill until they called us. It is so pretty in there. My kids love doing the penny press machines. For months we saved up quarters and shiny pennies to take with us. Ali made herself right at home. Pretty soon we were escorted to our table and they gave us some of that yummy bread. The name escapes me at the moment, but it was delish! Then they brought out the dumplings and the chicken wings. I swear, we co
  6. Another Jedi!! What a cutie yours is! Thanks Rita...stick around...the ride photos just get more ridiculous thanks to yours truly. I know, right?! I could have put one of my hands all the way around her waist! But then I probably would have been ejected from the park. I didn't do the Teacups last time because my sister was with us. No crazy aunt along this time so I had to suck it up. I did better than I thought I would. I love the decorations for fall. They do a great job. Why thank you! I genuinely thought there must be something wrong with my gun! I don' t know what I thought I was
  7. Thanks TCD. I'm very good at laughing at myself...and I give myself lots of opportunities to laugh. Wait till you see the rest of my ride photos. They get funnier!
  8. I was brave this trip...I rode the Teacups! Spiny rides didn't used to bother me, but I guess I'm old now cause I tend to get a little green around the gills after riding. I did ok this trip though. The kids have no problems. Then it was on to Buzz Lightyear. I LOVE this ride, but clearly this time there was something wrong with my gun....Wil was kicking my behind. Unlike the TCD gang, I obviously had no idea where they take your picture because I would never have let myself get caught like this... We had the Photopass plus so all the ride pics were included. When I went to get my download,
  9. :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2: This trip is a riot!!! Love your doggies! I don't trust people who don't treat their dogs like family, so troll or not, you're a-ok in my book!
  10. It was beyond awesome meeting you all down there!! And I'm barely over 5 feet tall, but I'm going to make sure all future photos of me include you Stef cause I look positively lanky in that picture of us!!! :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:
  11. So we were walking right down the middle of Main Street USA when I saw an old friend... On our very first trip to Disney World, my sister and I (ages 4 and 5 at the time) had our pictures taken beside the Indian Chief. Then again when we were in high school and again in 2008. So I posed with the Chief and emailed the pic back to my sister to show her what she was missing. Then, of course, my kids got in on the action. More holding hands (although I think I may have staged this one) You can see those dog-gone cranes were hanging out there above the castle but otherwise, I love this pictur
  12. OK, on to the Magic Kingdom. We got up bright and early with the intention of getting there for rope drop. We almost made it. But my goal with this trip was to make it as non hurried as possible. We hit the bus stop and within 3 minutes, a MK bus pulled up. Luckily, Barbados was the last stop that morning so we were on our way within minutes. We got there in time to see the end of the show. I have a picture of the kids from last time sitting on this wall, but this morning it was soaking wet so we opted for standing. I learned a lesson on this first day of park touring...flat ironing you
  13. Thanks everyone! The kids have their moments, but usually they get along great. :heartsmiley:
  14. After getting back to the resort, we chilled in the room for a bit and then decided to take a walk up to Old Port Royale, which is the main hub of CBR and where the food court is. We didn't have any reservations for Sunday so we were just going to chow down there. CBR is split into several "villages". Ours was the Bahamas and was one of the farthest ones from Old Port Royale. But it was a pretty walk so we didn't mind. The view from our beach looking toward OPR. Looking back toward the Bahamas. That's building 12. We were building 11. Enjoying the walk. Old Port Royale Clowning aroun
  15. Thanks! I think the Pirates ride is still there, but we missed it. We left that day with every intention of going back, but never actually made it. Thank you. The Auto train is awesome, but it's a 17 hour ride so probably not the best choice for you. Ali and I were the only ones at that class. It was crazy. I remember when I went years ago, we had to wait around till one class ended and then try to grab a seat for the next one.
  16. YAY Genia!! Can't wait to read the rest! It was so great to meet you and Tony on the beach!! Is Tony originally from Pittsburgh?? Go Steelers!!
  17. After lunch, a-shopping we did go. This was the first recreated photo we did. Here it is in 2008. And from now... Ali didn't do it in 2008, but decided she wanted to this time. Wil is a GINORMOUS Lego fan so we spent a lot of time in the Lego store. We had purchased the water parks and more options on our passes so we headed next to Disney Quest. We spent a nice afternoon in DQ playing games. Ali and I also did the Animation Academy, but I think it must be different than it is in DHS. At DQ they have you do it on a screen with a stylus and then at the end they want you to go buy yo
  18. Wow! I didn't realize the Auto Train had been around that long! I also wish there were auto trains to more parts of the country. Thanks for joining in!
  19. Glad I could help. ^-^ I would go back to WPE just for that pizza.
  20. Thanks for reading along everyone! I would absolutely recommend the auto train to anyone. It was relaxing and fun and the kids looked on the travel as part of the adventure instead of whining about when we were getting there. I loved it and would do it again in a heartbeat! Amtrak also offers a rewards program that lets you earn travel points for shopping at certain sites on the internet. I had enough points to get one person and the van free one way. It's totally worth looking into.
  21. We really enjoyed the Caribbean Beach. It was very pretty and relaxed. The kids really loved the pool. Right back at you Stef! Being with you guys was so comfortable. I had a blast!
  22. After our dinner, we all changed into comfy clothes and set about relaxing until time for bed. They have a lounge car where the kids and I went to watch the evening movie “Mirror, Mirror”. Since our car was not very crowded, my son was able to lay across two seats behind my husband. Ali and I stuck together for the night. We made it thru the night without too much hardship. I had been on an overnight train to Chicago once and remember it being very cold so I brought blankets and pillows to make us comfortable. Vaughn didn’t have the best night sleep, but not the worst either. Wil could sleep t
  23. Thanks! We had a great time on the train. To me, the travel is part of the whole vacation! I do what I can. LOL! We recreated a couple of pics from our 2008 trip on this one and that's when I notice how big they really have gotten. Auto train food was actually really good. We all ate well. Glad to have you guys on board (pun totally intended!) It was really great! Takes a little longer, but we all really enjoyed it!
