  1. We're doing well, thank you TCD. Glad to be back home on the boards. From the pictures, I have to say winter in Florida beats the h - e - double hockey sticks out of winter in Pittsburgh. But I guess I didn't need the pictures to tell me that. Can't wait for more.
  2. I haven't been on FF.net in a while and look what's greeting me when I return! A TCD trip report! My lucky day!!
  3. OMG this looks like so much fun! The pictures are great!!
  4. So here we are at the sing along. My first time to Disney World was when I was 5. We stayed at Fort Wilderness in a trailer (this was before the cabins). This was also when there was only Magic Kingdom. I remember the highlight being the campfire and sing along with Chip and Dale. I can't remember specifics, but I remember one night Pluto was there because we went back to the trailer to tell my grandmother (who had stayed behind) all about missing out on seeing Pluto. I think it's amazing that something I enjoyed as a 5 year old is still around for me to share with my kids. And they loved i
  5. The prodigal daughter has returned. I'm so sorry for my prolonged absence...life just seems to get in the way sometimes. Anyway here we go again. We're still in Legoland. I don't know what we were seeing in this picture, but it must have been good. And to make up for not picking the nose of the Troll in Norway... There was a section where the kids could build their own Lego cars and then try them out on different tracks. At the starting line... The cars usually either veered off the track or broke apart the minute they got to the finish line and the kids quickly lost interest. He
  6. Ugh! I guess I'll stick with Legos. :rofl2: They are rather on the small side. They have one of those ones where you dangle under the track and I was surprised Ali was big enough to ride. And then we rode it and understood that it's designed for younger kids. We still had a blast tho.
  7. It was nice getting the buy one get one free tickets. Otherwise, I might have reconsidered. Yeah, that big one is bolted down, baby! Of course it's not like you could tuck it under your shirt and get out of the park with it. The $180 R2-D2 is a foot tall when it's built. Even if I didn't care about the expense, I'm not sure where we would put it.
  8. hahaha! I know...when we were finally packing up to leave we had to tell them over and over. "we're leaving...for real this time!"
  9. Here's a little back story for our next update. Wil is a MEGA HUGE Lego fan. 3/4 of his Christmas wishlist is Lego sets. He creates his own stuff out of Legos and has all the video games and gets the magazine. When he heard that they put a Legoland in Florida and that we were going to be in the area, he naturally wanted to go. Bad. But, sadly, Legoland is closed in the fall. Or, at least, that's what we told him. Actually, they're not closed. And I had managed to score buy one get on free tickets. So we were going to be going to Legoland. But he didn't need to know that. Monday morning, we
  10. It did get a whole lot better at the Fort. I wish I had planned an extra day so we could have had a whole "down" day there, but it was not to be. But we will be back. Ali has taken to using our window markers to write "I miss Fort Wilderness" on our sliding glass door. I think I might take your advice and start wearing the ears! Of course I might look a little silly when I go to the school for parent/teacher conferences tomorrow. :rofl3: And yes, my poor sign. LOL! Oh that's great!! I was going to try to make the whole trip a surprise, but couldn't stop myself from talking about it. I ha
  11. Wow! That looks like a lot of fun! I'm so proud of you for doing those rides!!
  12. woo...first page. Congrats on the beer. Maybe I can convince my dad to go back now if he's able to get beer in 2 out of the 4 parks!
  13. I'm along for the ride! The campground looks pretty nice. How cool that some people live there. Why am I not surprised that of all the people I know, you are the one that ends up in the men's room!? :rofl3: :rofl2:
  14. Great report! Can't wait for the details in the next one!!
  15. Hey, don't feel bad about not taking on Marian. That is one tough cookie!
  16. Here we are on Sunday morning. We'd been in Disney for a whole week now. We told the kids our plans for today would be to pack up, go spend a couple of hours at Typhoon Lagoon and then head to the train station. And by train station, I mean the Fort...but they didn't know that yet. I don't have any pictures of Typhoon Lagoon, because our waterproof camera died on us. Well actually, it was my sister's waterproof camera. She'd had it for several years and I guess the seals that keep that water out of the important parts had just had it. I really liked both water parks. I don't know if I coul
  17. Yay!! Another TR!! Hope Kassie is feeling better! Can't wait for more.
  18. One is enough. I wouldn't want anyone to get bored. Potty humor is big in our house, so I'm still shocked that they didn't even think of it. They just wanted to do their Viking faces. Somewhere, I must have failed as a mother. :rofl2:
  19. Since Wil and Vaughn hadn't been able to make it to our resies at the castle on Friday night, that left us with 4 adult table service credits left to use. Problem is, there were very few places that we wanted to eat that still had available reservations. While I was planning this trip, I mostly made reservations at places we hadn't eaten before. About two days before we were to leave, Vaughn asked if I had made a reservation for 50 Prime Time Cafe. Well, no...we'd eaten there on our honeymoon. So he continued to whine and poke fun the whole trip because he wanted to eat there. He even took a
  20. So now we had full bellies and we ready to see the world! We headed over to get the kids started on their Duffy Bears. To be honest, we had skipped the World Showcase last time because I thought the kids would find it boring. And at ages 7 and 4, the most likely would have. But now, with Agent P and the Duffy Bear kidcot stop thing, I think they really enjoyed it. Wil decided wearing R2-D2 ears was cramping his artistic ability so I became his hat rack. In France. Morroco Vaughn seemed to take a lot of pictures of this lady. I can't imagine why. We stopped into Japan, where Wil did t
  21. Thanks! Le Cellier may be my fav now too!! On our last trip, I got sick for one night. I guess this time it was Wil's turn. Thankfully it was only the one night and no one else got it! Maybe I will send it on! LOL! Vaughn and I went to college to become actors so they come by their "hamminess" honestly. Thanks Stef! Ali loves her Merida costume. I tried to talk her out of the wig and told her we could just curl her hair, but she was having none of it! And actually, it is alot easier to just pull that thing on her head and go. :rofl2: Cape May was another great meal. But Le Cellier is def
  22. Be our Guest looks amazing!!! But I may be biased as Beauty and the Beast is my absolute favorite!! Yet another reason for me to get my next trip planned right away!
  23. No one's got a swell cleft in his chin like Gaston! (Since you got Part of your World stuck in my head, I thought I'd return the favor. :rofl2: )
  24. Have fun at the Fort. Wish we could be there!! And I can't wait to hear more about your cruise!
  25. My family makes fun of me for taking a regular toaster along on our camping trips but now that I see you take a toaster oven, I may have to upgrade!! Can't wait for more.
