Great pics!! I have a picture of my mom going off those slides that I have been trying to find. She passed away in October 2009 and I want to have that pic of two great things that aren't here anymore. No luck so far, but your picture brings back happy memories. Thanks for posting it!

Oh, Judy. That is so sweet of you! I agree that some of those moms are trying to make up for something they missed out on. I have never been into the cheerleading thing...even as a teenager. But my thoughts for putting Ali into it now is because of her condition, I'm worried about girls being mean to her when she gets further along in school. I figure the larger her base of friends now, the more likely those friendships will continue into the more advanced grade and the less likely she will get picked on. It's probably wishful thinking, but I've got to give it a try. We're doing girl scouts

Thanks for your responses! It is sad. And, you are right on about the mom t-shirts. There were several at the function yesterday. Which is great...it's supportive and fun. But it seems a little unfair that in order to be included, you have to sell a kidney so you can afford it. IDK...if I had the money, maybe I wouldn't think it was so unfair. I love crafting and would love to get an embroidery machine or a Cricut, but until that time I'll have to find another way. I appreciate your help!!

Good morning Fiends... I need help or advice or something! LOL Here's my story... My 6 year old daughter is starting Cheerleading in the fall for our school district. I took her yesterday to get fitted for her uniform and while there, they had a "Spirit Sale" with items that have little slogans on them. They said it's "optional" but of course ALL the other little girls get these items and wear them on specific days etc. so if I don't get her some then she's left out. BTW - I was camping this weekend (sadly, not at the fort) but while at the pool a little girl walked over to her mother (who was in the pool) and said "I have to go potty". She was holding herself, so it seemed pretty urgent. Mom was feeling pretty lazy and told her "just jump here in the pool". Little girl jumped in and suddenly there were no more requests to go potty. Coincidence??? I think not. :nyd:

Thanks to everyone for the advice!! I think my heart is telling me October too...I just hate waiting!! I just saw the ad for booking the Haunted Hayride and it just sounds like SO much fun that time of year so I'm thinking that's what we'll be doing. *sigh* That means I'm back up to over a year till my next trip. I'll need lots more TCD trip reports to keep me happy till then! :)

As I returned to my cart, I noticed this National Guard golf cart: What is this about? Who has a National Guard golf cart? Are there National Guard recruiters on official business at the Fort? If not, who is using this golf cart, and why? Next up . . . We will get packed up. And that means it's time to go. Just one more installment. And this one is in the can. TCD OMG...I don't know why, but this struck me as so funny!! Very Seinfeld-esque.."who are these National Guard people and why do they need a golf cart!?) :rofl2:

Hi all. This is my first time starting a topic here! My family and I are planning to go to WDW next year...tent camping at the Fort. So the question has come down to when to go...May or October. Originally, we were planning on going this year in October, but because of some set backs decided to push it off till 2012. I'm tempted for May because of the Star Wars weekends and the fact that it's spring (and it's a lot closer than October of 2012) but my kids would love the MNSSHP. Any thoughts? Thanks!!! Misty

Welcome back! I don't post alot, but have always enjoyed your reports.

Our tent died on our last camping trip and with the warm weather approaching, I've got it narrowed down to 2 tents...the Coleman Signature instant tent 14'x10' 8 person and the Eureka Copper Canyon 1512 12 person. So I'm wondering if anyone on here has any experience with either of these two? Any advice is greatly appreciated!! Thanks! Misty
