Maybe Good, Maybe Bad?
parrothead7368 aka Norm replied to Travisma's topic in Travel and Transportation
https://www.rvpluscard.com/ This is what I have This gives 8 cents off per gallon of diesel and 5 cents off regular fuel. It also sort of a credit card, but you have to pay balance off every month. We use it all the time when we travel. Now all the Flying J's and Pilots that we have come across are about the same price as surrounding stations so there is a savings with the card. Also, if you are a Good Sam member, I believe if you swipe that card you save 3 cents per gallon. Flying J/Pilot also have an awards card that you can get form them that is also 3 cents savings per gallon as -
JR's is no longer a variety store, it is now just a cigar/smoke outlet, BTW it's Exit 97 in NC.

Things I saw camping
parrothead7368 aka Norm replied to Beckers's topic in General Camping Discussion and Questions
I grew up swimming at Hospitality Creek a lot, I lived about a mile away, the next lake down. Its nice, but way over priced. Actually it's in Cecil, NJ, us Cecilites take pride, just uses the Williamstown zip code. LOL -

We stayed there on the way home a couple years ago, it was good for sleeping. Pool wasn't open since it was November and it was empty. I think it was for sale at the time too, so changes may have been made. Here are reviews. http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/north-carolina/enfield/enfield-rocky-mount-koa -
Mickey's Backyard BBQ for a 4 year old?
parrothead7368 aka Norm replied to hedg12's topic in Camping for Kids
My girls loved it, and I was entertained as well. Reminded me of the chuck wagons in Colorado I went to when I was younger. They were 3, 8, and 9 at the time we went. -

Mickey's Backyard BBQ
parrothead7368 aka Norm replied to jjbescher's topic in Dining Reviews and Information
We usually just do breakfast character meals, because as said before, its hard to screw up. We did the BBQ and we enjoyed the food, of course my kids like ribs and chicken etc so that helps. We'll do it again. -

I use two large metal plant hangers and hook an eye on each pole. They also store easily under the couch. http://www.homedepot.com/p/Vigoro-64-in-Black-Forged-Shepherd-Hook-844525VG/205347006 Something like that -

I've used http://www.applescooter.com/ when we went for my mom, they delivered and picked up at the Reception Outpost. I rented the 4 wheel one since my mom had driven one before, thought it would be less prone to tip overs. Whoever you rent, I would suggest getting a wrist key ring so when not in use, you can put the key around your wrist and it won't get lost..

Going over Christmas break like I did last year for The Force Awakens. The rest of the family goes to the Rockettes, and I get peace to go to the movie by myself.
