A trip report from DIT? Yay!! I am a little late to it but I can't wait to read more!

I have read the St. Simons trilogy and the Savannah trilogy but not the Florida trilogy or the Georgia quartet. Will have to look for those. Thanks for the recommendations.

It looks like Feld Entertainment still donates money or are affiliated in some way with the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Center for Elephant Conservation which is in Central Florida. It sounds like they retired some of or all of the herd here. I will definitely check that place out sometime soon. Pretty cool!

Feld Entertainment is down the street from where I live and I pass by it regularly. The building is massive. I wonder if they do tours of the place...it would be cool to get inside and see the behind the scenes things.

I won't drive I-4 anymore. I was on my way to Disney World when a semi-truck's (just the cab of the semi) brakes locked up on them, went across four lanes of highway, hit the car in front of me, did a 360 and hit my car. Totaled my car and I broke my foot. Out of work for 2 months. I now drive the back roads to Disney which adds an hour to my drive, but at least I am not on I-4. This was in Lakeland.

Sounds like you guys had a full day at the Magic Kingdom! And had a great time too! I love the chair socks...very original! On another note, those raccoons would have freaked me out. I am not sure I would have stuck around at all after seeing them there.

I also thought the cabins were not pet friendly. Although, I have never specifically asked about the cabins, only the hotel rooms. It would be interesting to know if there were a couple of cabins that were pet friendly, but I highly doubt it.

I won't wait in line for a 45 minute wait let alone for a 400 minute wait. That's ridiculous!

I just saw it last year and you are right, it is awesome! I would highly recommend this show to anyone who hasn't seen it! I would go to see it again if or when it comes back to town.

I really like Columbia Harbor House and would hate to see it go away. Yet, I can see them changing it into the Haunted Mansion restaurant if they decided to do that. I would still miss the CHH though.
