The Year In Review: DIT Takes Disney Love To A New Level In 2017
dblr....Rennie replied to DaveInTN's topic in Trip Reports
It feels strange the first time when the kids are old enough to partake in a alcoholic drink with the parents but as they get older and buy you a drink it improves. Loved the look on Anna's face when she was left out. Great job on the ice cream, I bet it was fun -

Will do as long as CRS doesn't set in again. We are going to dinner once there at I believe the Dobbins Tavern, then the rest of the weekend we will be on our own to do what we want. -

Dave, regarding Holiday World we were looking somewhere around the last week of June, we are going from Gettysburg Pa. to Branson so looking for things to do and places to stop along the way. Might not bet the most direct way but hey that's what having a rv is about. -

Carol, I remember reading once before about that rally and it sounds like they do a great job as well. It is nice to see factory sponsored rallies like this as I feel it helps create loyalty to that brand, plus who better to work on the unit then factory techs. -

Thanks I just looked it up to post it but you beat me, glad I looked. We are attending a FROG Rally in Gettysburg again this year, I still have your number and hope to remember to reach out to meet you, bring the Jarts. Last year we got so busy I forgot to try and contact you. That would be the FROG International Rally in Goshen In. it would be nice for other manufactures to do this also, it builds respect for them and trust me that is why we stayed with a Forest River product. I invite all with a Forest River product to join FROG or even contact me for more info on why you should -

I forget what brand rv you have but you can could check their owners forum for more info, I know on the Forest River board the members are very helpful. -
I saw this and thought some might like the photos of our beloved abandoned River Country. I hope the link worked right. https://www.msn.com/en-us/lifestyle/smart-living/these-abandoned-disney-park-photos-look-like-scenes-from-a-postapocalyptic-world/ss-BBBv2s3?ocid=spartandhp#image=1

With the sticker on the window of that truck it could possibly been a transport driver delivering a new rig, looked like a wild ride, -

All KOA's seem to be priced on the high side IMO. I just drove to New Mexico mostly on I-70 and there were a lot of KOA spots, we are planning on maybe heading west again with our camper this summer and I started to check them out for overnight stops and even if I BOUGHT their discount card for a overnight stop they are high priced, guess I will have to try to use Passport America instead for quick stops or even just crawl into the sleeper in the truck, the wife really doesn't care where she wakes up if I decide to move on in the middle of the night!!!!! -

Don't forget there are a lot of RV Surplus stores around the Elkhart in. area that might have things you'll need. The best one we like is run by a Amish family so that one you would have to actually visit the others would have sites online, good luck on your project. -

Thanks for posting the video from Holiday World, that raft ride is new since our last visit. Planning our trip out west again this summer now I might have to plan a stop there. We were looking at Branson and then thru Ok. I know a guy there that offered us a nice boat ride, hope maybe we can get close enough to his location for that plus we need to add Ok. to our camping map. I also will add for any trip as a trip report as that helps myself and others ideas of places to go. Thanks for your trip report it is very good and love the videos you all look like your having fun Oh and Dave you' -

Are considering any spots at Disney Springs? With teenagers try Splitsville, we have eaten there twice and enjoyed it both times plus you can choose to bowl or not, It's not a nice plush sit down of course but the kids might get a kick out of it -
Sam's Club Closures

I wonder how many of the stores that are closing are located next to or very close to a Walmart store, seems if a lot they are consolidating some locations. Plus they said will become a E -Commerce location sounds like a fulfillment center for online sales. -

We were on the good side of their new seating style over the holidays as just as the hostess was leading us to our seat someone just walked up and sat there, she politely explained to them and eventually they were seated next to us, funny thing was they were from our home state and wearing their Fighting Blue Hen hats proudly -

Arrived in Colorado today to temps in the low 60's, this weather is crazy. I heard home was up to high 30's today -
Keep in mind if you do get to rent a truck will it have a brake controller, I know most of the new trucks they do if equipped with the tow package, also this would only work if you have a travel trailer as I have never seen rental trucks with a 5th wheel hitch. Now do keep in mind with a tow package they might have the pucks in the bed but that is a lot of what ifs? Just food for thought in this matter.

Heck I'm just glad we reached double digits,13 with no wind and the sun out actually didn't feel bad. I start heading west towards New Mexico tomorrow and have no idea what kind of weather I will be driving in, wish me luck -
You make that sound like a bad thing

Very true but I got the sampler platter and MY rule is to eat all the meat ( fried chicken, pot roast and meatloaf ) first then potatoes and veggies so by then I was filled and no I didn't even try for dessert.
