I'm not sure when your going, but i will be at the fort from May 10-17. Hooked up I'm about 62' long. I will let you know where we ended up and how easy it appeared for us to get in. I know you don't bend in the middle but both my truck and trailer are quite long and don't get in every spot easily. I like the remote spots also.

When did campers (well younger campers) become so lazy they need a golf cart every where they go!!!!!! I can understand older folks and the disabled, but healthy young folks? A lot of them cannot back their camper up and they had to buy the biggest unit they don't need. I'm not to upset at 2 cars or 10 people on a site. But I am super upset at children being allow to drive golf carts. I've had my vehicle struck by a child on a golf cart and they ran leaving me to have to pay for the damages.

At least dress them up. They take away from the Disney experience as they stand now in my opinion. You have all the theme's around them and then there is the big grey boxes. I don't mind them being there but cant the imagineers get something going?

Have the metal detectors gotten any better looking? Have they gone away? Not much has been said about them...

Lake City? I was broke down there for 3 days before. The BBQ place almost across the street from the campground has ribs that are out of this world.

After reading this mess, i can share some insight from my training as a hazmat technician. A meth lab can be built many ways and sometimes within minutes. The larger more elaborate labs in hours. The goof crew tried to screw me on this new system. But I got pushed through as I wanted to add people to my stay. That explains the glitch they dealt with the other day. 45 min to add 1 person onto my stay smh. I can understand the not allowing anyone to book a week the cutting back to 2 or 3 nights. But why hassle someone adding people

No, I'm just trying to add my mother in law to the reservation. After 45 min, i was told its a glitch in the system. I guess with all the big bonuses being paid they couldn't afford the top dollar system. Had to go cheapest bidder. lol Can you post their info for future reference for me?

So I booked weeks back. The mother in law want to join us so I go online and make the required changes. Next thing I know, I get a message I have to call into the horrid call in center. So I pull up the chat screen, those folks cant do any thing. A thirty second change has now become a 30 minute and counting annoyance. I believe from now on I will use another travel agency as this is sub par minor league stuff. i can change most if not all of my reservations online for anything and everything including cruises and airlines.

I will take comfort over the new PC police etiquette that has come about in the last few years. I am still equipped with common sense which is a hot commodity that seems to disappearing. That said don't look for me in the middle of the lot taking up 17 spots at walmart or 2+ spots at a reststop/truckstop. look around the edge of the lots. The areas where a slide can be opened with out worry of others hitting it.

Next time you want to see the wild ponies head to the Maryland side. They are truly wild ponies. The ponies on the Chincoteague island are actually a captive heard owned by the Volunteer fire department. I highly recommend the National park area on the Maryland side as the deer and horses are seen all day and night in that area.

Hey Brother, Next time your in Baltimore look me up. I work at the oldtown firehouse downtown. My vote would be to avoid cherry hill and head for Ramblin' Pines Campground.

You folks aren't to far off from me. I live in Snow Hill down by the beach. Thanks for your input. Just want a place to lay our little heads stretch our legs and maybe just maybe allow the kids a few laps on their bikes to tire them out.

I looked back 3 pages to find the last post on this campground. I'm looking to overnight and this seems like a valid option. Has anyone stayed here recently? If so was it clean and safe? Price? Would you overnight here again? No looking to do more then drop the main jack on the trailer to take some weight off of the truck and put the slides out so we can access the food and beds. Please chime in and let me know what you think. This would be about 6 hours from my house and 6 hours from the fort.

Hey all, We are new to FW and will be traveling with two larger units. We will be staying on a premium site probably with a dog in each unit. But option to not have the dogs at all. Where should we stay/request? I have two younger kids @ 4,7 y/o respectively. We don't mind walking but would like and idea where we are being driven by all the time or have hordes of bugs. We will be there in Early May of 16. Any suggestions will be taken and researched on the great tools provided here on this site!!!!! Great site btw
