I am in!!!! This is a great report. Thank you very much for sharing. I am also very excited to show my son the pictures of the hockey event- what an awesome event. Wish we lived closer. My son LOVES hockey- plays goalie. Tolerates Disney(so I might be like you and leave him out of my will) lol. Love your puppy- so cute. We too have "never lost" shirts- yours came out so cute!!!! Can't wait to read more.

I too hate those machines. Soda tastes disgusting. Those creepy faces are finally gone- but would have liked to see some other decorations- that aren't creepy of course.

That's what makes this board so great- the snarkiness. I think I will stay away from the ice cream social- maybe next time.

Just wanted to give an update from our trip. It was awesome aside from LSU losing. The people were very nice- hotel that we stayed at was very helpful. My son is hooked, wants to go back. Thanks everyone for all the help.

Thank you Specularius. I had heard about Mike- very sad. My son is so bummed. Will they eventually get another tiger? Are there any bookstores that are better than others. The only campuses I have been to are ND and Penn State. ND has two and are about the same and Penn State has like 5. Penn State has one that is pretty close to the stadium. Does LSU have any close to the stadium? Thanks again for all your help

Work and sports got in the way sorry for the delay. We are staying at the Hampton Inn on I-10. We check in on Friday and are leaving Sunday. Not a very long stay but enough time to watch the game. Any suggestions on where to eat would be greatly appreciated. Also any must see on the campus would be great too. None of have ever been here. Thanks again for any help.

We got super super lucky with the game. That never happens to us- usually its the other way around, but I am very grateful for this wonderful opportunity. I have never been to Louisiana. I will look up which hotel we are staying at when I get home but ANY help you can give me will be greatly appreciated.

I knew you would reply (well actually I hoped you would) Yes we are- using Tripadvisor(first time using Tripadvisor- thanks to you)tried trip at one of the hotels not too far from the stadium and I had purchased tickets back in March for this weekend which was some team I had never heard of but worked with my son's ice hockey schedule. Our very good friend of ours (Huge Gator fan)was going to come with us but backed out which she is now kicking herself for. Her and my son always watch this game together.

When: Nov 17th-21st Who: Me- Fan of Football- mostly ND but have started to cheer for LSU Hubby- Pitt fan Son- 13- reason for the trip- loves LSU. 2nd grade teacher assigned his group the LSU Tigers and it has stuck with him Adult Friend- lives in Georgia another Pitt fan also cheers for Penn State Son's friend- Also cheers for LSU thanks to son Leaving from Philly to Atlanta Plan is to meet up with Friends in Atlanta then all drive together to LSU. Hello My family and I will be camping at the Fort in July 2017 with our pop-up and was looking into the idea of an air conditioner. Would like to hear some feedback on anyone who has used an air conditioner and what kind they have used. Any and all help would be much appreciated. Thank you
